I have had the CG25 with a Speedwoofer for about a year and I recently added another Speedwoofer for a 2.2 setup. I use the Wireless transmitter with the Speedwoofers and it works flawlessly. I power the speakers with a Cambridge Audio CXA81 and couldn't be happier with the setup.

The 2.1 setup sounded great, but there were some holes in the sound depending on where you were in the room. Adding the 2nd sub cleared that up. The music sounds great throughout the room. I have one sub positioned in front of me with the speakers and the 2nd sub behind me. The 2nd sub seems to have also opened up the sound stage. IDK all the technical jargon, but suffice it to say the system sounds even better than before and the 2nd sub is worth it. I was skeptical of the benefits of a 2nd sub for a music first system, but not anymore.

The CG25 have a smooth sound and lean warm compared to my previous speakers (Klipsch rp160m). They have a fuller sound in terms of richness of the mid-range. They are definitely a step up from the rp160m which are pretty good speakers and pair very well with the Speedwoofer.

IDK what else to say about the speakers other than that they are very well build and sound excellent. If you are on the fence about RSL Speakers get off and buy them. I came to RSL looking for a sub and ended up with a speaker system I really enjoy and cured my upgrade itch.

I've had this system about nine months and it seems to get better every day - two CG-25s and the speedwoofer in a stereo configuration I've tried these with six different receivers/amplifiers - a Marantz 8801, Onkyo PR-SC-5530, Crown 2105, custom circuit of an $11,000 power amplifier, and Yamaha and Pioneer surround sound receivers with pre-outs, connected for stereo. These speakers have amazing horizontal dispersion. Now, how they sound. Clear, open - no metallic diaphragm character - the absence of which is a pleasant and noticeable surprise. Although all the treble is there -clear and open. Instrumental timbre and detail are better than anything I've ever heard - the detail of the old JBL and Altec systems without the horn sound. I can hear armbouchere on horns and wind instruments when full orchestra is playing. Bass is incredibly clear. All the music is just "there". Most noticeable is the absence of "the box" in the start and decay of transients. These speakers are clear all the way down to inaudibility. At the lowest volume, everything is as clear and open as at listening volume. Unless some miking tricks are being used in the broadcast (like shotgun microphones) I can usually clearly hear the character of the room/office/other venue. They sound better than holographic or dipolar speakers I've owned and heard - no rear wall reflection. In short, they have no character or artificially created ambiance of their own. They don't sound like speakers. I have them about 13 feet apart, on professsional stands, very slightly toed out. These do not need to be aimed at/across the listener to hear it all. I've been an audiophile for more than 60 years, have owned more than 50 loudspeaker systems and heard nearly every make and many models up to 130k a pair. I just donated my umpteenth floor standing model to one of several large local universities - worth more than 3k per pair. Yes, they were state of the art and sounded marvelous. But not as good as the CG25s. I've finally found speakers I can live with without compromise. As for the subwoofer, I had a guest visit by the band director of a highly respected local university who couldn't believe the music he was hearing from his Copeland favorites. I already knew about subwoofer location for many years but I've relocated the speedwoofer to another part of the room and it made a big difference in smoothness and balance. In my case, a single speedwoofer is enough. The support at RSL is really great. If you're thinking of new speakers, these do what RSL says they will.

I've had this system about two months and it seems to get better everyday, The support at RSL is really great. I just donated my umpteenth floor standing model to one of several large local universities - worth more than 3k per pair. Yes, they were state of the art and sounded marvelous. But not as good as the CG25s.

I'm listening from one corner of a 14ft square. The room is 17x26 ft with one sidewall open to another open area. One CG25 is in a corner - the other nearest the open area. I have them facing inward enough to reduce reflection from sidewalls. These speakers have amazing horizontal dispersion so sidewall reflections audibly reduce definition.

Now, how do they sound. Clear, open - no metallic diaphragm character - the absence of which is a pleasant and noticeable surprise. Although all the treble is there -clear and open.
