Wow! This system is sick. Small footprint but the sound envelops you and is so rich from highs to lows. The sound only gets better with time as the speakers "break in".

Unbelievable performance for just over the price point of a decent sound bar. Absolutely no comparison for $ per performance. Not even in the same galaxy.

BTW...This all comes with old school and real customer service from the owners. Don't be surprised when Howard drops his frank and almost immediate feeedback and help. Great purchase and even greater company!

I am running the Cg4/CG24 in the front, the C34E's for rears, and the speedwoofer 10s with a Denon x2300w. A real game changer for music and movie night. No cops called for the noise yet..ha ha!

Over a year ago I was looking to purchase a Home Theatre Speaker system and spent some time researching various options (until it hurt).

I was very mindful of value for money and wasn’t wanting to pay the prices some brands were asking – RSL pricing was within my grasp, so was an option worth looking into.

I eventually approached RSL about their CG4 5.1 Home Theatre System and found that Howard and Joe were very knowledgeable and passionate about their speakers. We spent some time working through all my Specifications, room dimensions and furnishings to ensure the system would be suitable for my application.

I had a large room approximately 8 metres x 6 metres, so had some concerns the area could be too big for these small speakers.

However, Howard and Joe both ensured me the system would be fine and that I wouldn’t be disappointed – and I definitely wasn’t.

Once hooked up to my Onkyo NR-929 AV Receiver (also tested with a Denon AVR-X4000) I was blown away with the sound clarity.

The first sounds that I heard seemed as if individual instruments were jumping out at me. I could hear each instrument and follow the sound clearly as I listened – this was very cool. The Sub was much better than I had expected for the size and the Audyssey XT32 on the Onkyo set the speaker equalization up seamlessly.

It’s been over a year now and I am more than happy with the speakers – definitely recommending them to anyone looking for a great system.

RSL still keep in contact and like to know how things are going - which is great.

I am thrilled for the great reviews they have received recently via Audioholics.com - they totally deserve them.

NOTE - comparable speakers in New Zealand would have cost me double the price (even after including the exchange rate, taxes and duty costs).

Definitely worth it.

Ive owned my 5.1 for about 14 months. I just find that i appreciate the lush ,beautiful sound and feel more and more, having already being blown away day one before the break in period. I run them through an emotiva 200X5 amp and fusion 1500. Movies and music are totally on point. Hands down.... The best spekers at this price or 600 north. Too satisfied if thats possible.

The BEST SERVICE you would want. I was having problems getting the correct settings for the 5.1 system I purchased. The receiver instruction book was not good, but RSL went far beyond what I expected to get the correct settings. DO NOT be concerned about needing help. I called when RSL was on the road, they answered and I was helped. Received emails when I missed their phone call. RSL got thru to the receiver company when I was not able, and provided me with the information to set the speakers correctly. . The sound for my theater room is exceptional and I am VERY HAPPY with all aspects of my purchase. This is service that goes back many years, not the service we get in 2014. 5 STARS without a doubt.

Hi Joe, just a short note to tell you that we are very happy with the sound quality coming from the home theater system, specially with the deep bass of the sub woofer. It is really different than any other bass sound previously heard from my ears.

Really good sound quality

I promised a second review after the speakers broke in. First , without a doubt heed the warning / suggestions of setting all speaker adjustments on the AVR to flat. One simple example is that my Def Tech’s were more sensitive, had less mid / bass and per the Def Tech manual set to a crossover of around 95. Settings that worked for the Def Tech’s weren’t the best settings for the RSL’s. No two speaker companies are the same, so best to start at flat. Also, I needed to make sure I was using the best of 6 pre-set MACC auto correction settings I had previously saved in the AVR. What worked for the Def Tech’s wasn’t always that great for the RSL’s.

That done and with 30 hours on the speakers I re-ran MACC. After running MACC I like the sound even better. Speakers broke in = better sounding than out of the box and they already sounded great. MACC = smoothed out the bass. Primarily it eliminated some of the bass that was a bit much for my taste. I use either THX Movies or Dolby Prologic II for cinema based sources. Dolby or Neo Music for music as default surround sound settings on the AVR. Never use the gimmicky “Hall, Concert” or similar options. Whatever I select varies by content. The RSL is more revealing of every recording. Cleaner sound, much better definition in the bass. One pro reviewer said the Speedwoofer was the star of the system. For sure it is a great sub, (at a Magnolia I listened to several subs by themselves. The Speedwoofer was better than anything in its price and the equal or close to some $ models). I like the 4’s overall “full” sound. All recordings sound good, but they take the good recordings and make them sound fantastic. One example, I was listening to the DVD Eagles Hell Freezes Over. I heard the strings strum on guitars clearly. Harmony’s and voices were clearer. Cymbals have more zing. my music tastes ranges from classic 60’s rock to Andre Bochelli and jazz too. I wish I had more time to tee them all up!

Basically my goal was to lift the proverbial “veil” off of the speakers releasing a clean, detailed sound. RSL achieved that and I am happy I choose to go with them. They sound great, despite poor placement options that I have no control over. Feel free to combine my first review submitted earlier; edit and post within reason. Thanks again for your support. Hopefully the only time you’ll hear from me is when I need support, and then not very often if ever ! J unless I get 2 more to replace the surrounds.

It did take some time to fully dial in the new receiver settings..and I think that the 30-40 hours of break-in to be on the conservative side, people tend to not have much patience these days but I think it took more like 60 hours to fully break them in? I told you I would probably play with the Sub location, and so far have it by a corner and pointed into it, it's location seems to "disappear" best that way. I was worried that the bass would lag behind like that but it not only doesn't lag, the lows seem to actually come from the satellites! Although the Speedwoofer's price was the hardest for me to swallow, I see now it's what really makes your system really shine, and shine it does! The sound is true, rich, and crystal clear! I was determined to do that comparison with the Martin Logans, but I can't imagine they could be any improvement, so I'm not sure about making the trip. The brackets were of the highest quality, but even though your speaker wire was of freakish weight and thickness, it didn't work for my purpose. The wires don't separate well and I couldn't put a small nail through them without shorting out the receiver, I'm sure that I'll find some use for it? Summing up my experience so far....Wow! I'm thrilled! Listening to previously listened to music for the first time!

How about 2 reviews; one now and one after the speakers break in.

Background on the modest set up. Pioneer Elite AVR, Pioneer Elite Universal Disc player for Movies and DVD Audio concerts, OLD Sony 200 Disc CD changer.

I replaced 15 year old Def Tech Pro Cinema 100 Sub, Center and LR fronts, but keeping the rear surrounds. Room 15x9x21, probably considered on the

"Bright" side. I never had an issue with the Def Tech's when listening to

music, and with nothing to compare to. About 6 years ago my car was a Passat CC with a killer Dynaudio system. It lifted the proverbial "veil"

off the music - crystal clear sound compared to the Def Tech's. because of that I would audition higher end systems with an eye to one day upgrading.

When my sub went the time came to upgrade but I was forced to keep the same small size of speaker and poor placement of the current system. Your Sound and Vision review as one of a dozen I had kept as possible replacements.

Well, that veil has once again been lifted! I can't stop smiling and the speakers have only been playing for 1 hour. Nuances in Madman Across the Water I haven't heard; beautiful and more defined background echoes.

Cleaner cymbals in Out of Eden. The Speedwoofer is FAR FAR FAR superior to the Def Tech. Clean tuneful bass, set at 11. The CG4's and CG24 are seamless and crystal clear. Interestingly I did change some of the AVR settings. Using NEO 6 Music verse a THX setting I was using before.

Changed the AVR crossover to 100 (80 or 100 being the only options). Raised the Fronts by +3.5 DB's and set the center BACK -5.5DB's. the center is positioned at 5' off the ground, the fronts are 1' off the floor; the constraints of the cabinet they are place in. makes no difference as the sound stage is plenty large and there is no speaker localization. I will run MACC room correction after 40 hours (using an old MACC setting now and maybe a reason for the center setting?)

The shipping and packaging was as promised; excellent. Your prompt responses to my early inquiries prior to buying was appreciated and right on. Nothing to say but thanks and highly recommended. 5 stars and they aren't even broken in. I will check back in at 40 hours but can't imagine how much better things can get. After all there are only 5 stars to give!

This review comes long over due! My father was a sound enthusiast and he would take me on field trips to the RSL in Torrance, CA to hear great sound! I guess I inherited an ear for quality sound :) My childhood experiences paid off and this past year I purchased the CG-4 5.1 Home Theatre System. I found the sound to be "Amazing!" I wanted to thank both Howard and Joe for their excellent customer service. They are prompt, professional, polite, and their products can't be beat! I'm sure there's no other "family" speaker manufacturer out there that offers the personal service you give to your customers.

It's been quite a while since I email you the last time, anyway as promised I think it's about time I share with you on my review of this 5.1 system. First and foremost on the whole this 5.1 system is one of the best home theater system I have come across for a long time. In fact I have listened to quite a lot of brand but nothing give me the kind of crisp clear, airy and dynamics sound like this one. Secondly the synergy between the speedwoofer and the rest of the speaker is second to none. Lastly is the sheer power and swiftness of the speedwoofer working together with the five speakers are really exhilarating and this really draws you into the movies and make it very immersive.

One last thing which I like to mention is the speedwoofer separate remote receiver box is very convenience and easy to adjust during the on going movies.

All in all this is really a great and fantastic 5.1 system and I hope RSL will come up with more great products in the near future and I 'am looking forward to it. Keep it up. (Posted on 9/23/13)

I lusted after this setup for about two years before taking the plunge. I first saw the RSL setup in a magazine a few years ago and was drawn to small size and great reviews, but didn’t have to budget to make it happen. Plus, I had a current setup, that wasn’t too bad. For a few years, I would flip through the online reviews, and I would look at other products, but I always came back to the RSL site. Now, after owning and living with these speakers for a few months and have got a chance to know them well, I absolutely love them! I use them daily, and I don’t know why I waited so long! Each piece exudes quality and understated performance. They look great with the black gloss finish, magnet grills and small size that fit nicely with the rest of my setup. They seem to be the perfect size for small the medium sized rooms, like my modest setup. Sound quality is awesome and detailed. The RSL 5.1 system is definitely a cut above my previous "HTIB" speaker setup, and everything I hoped it would be.

I had to purchase my RSL speakers individually, and have enjoyed every time I've added a new piece to the family. I ordered the sub first, and while unboxing I could tell immediately that build quality is outstanding, very solid and heavy with great attention to detail. Once fired up, the sub woofer was an immediate standout within my existing setup. At first listen, it produced more quality bass with less effort than my old "HTIB" style sub of the same size, even before finishing the break-in period. And the remote makes dialing in the settings painless. After getting to know the sub, I can say that it’s a great all around performer, handling everything I can through at it. It really handles bass drum kicks with authority and detail that I wasn't use to with my old system. Plus, the way its tuned naturally filters out upper mid bass in a way that makes the really low end sound clean and effortless no matter if the volume is really low or cranked up.

After the sub, I order a center CG24 and two CG4's for the main channels. Like the sub, they are hefty little guy’s, weighing a little more than I anticipated. They go perfect with the sub, and match its level of build quality and sound quality. The center channel especially creates really clear dialogue. I remember reading a few reviews stating the center channel having more “forward” vocals and after listening to them, I finally understood what they were talking about. On my old system, I had to crank up the center channel levels just to hear dialogue clearly, and with the CG24 I was able to bring the level settings on the receiver back down closer to zero. The CG24 overall, is a nice balance of detail yet smoothness. I can listen for several hours at a time without much hearing fatigue.

The CG4 seems almost identical in sound quality to the center, but a little softer in the mid-range. They worked great initially in my 3.1 setup for movies, but I felt they were lacking a little bit in stereo listening in my living room compared to the CG24. I found myself wanting to get another pair of centers for main channels since I enjoy the CG24’s “forward” characteristic so much. So, I ended up getting two more cg24 to use as my mains and moving the CG4’s to the rear channels. Having three cg24’s up front rocks! I love the additional detail in the midrange for stereo listening. Currently, I set the cg4's up in a 2.1 arrangement in my home office and it rocks there in the smaller room. I’ll be moving the CG4’s back to my living room as rear speakers as soon as I run some cables. (On a side note, I also recently purchase a new receiver capable of handling 4ohm loads which I figured was a good idea since I’m using multiple CG24’s.)

The overall package, once I acquired all the pieces, has been outstanding and very respectable, plus a lot of fun. My new setup easily holds its own when compared to anything else I've herd recently at retailers, and at friends setups. It’s been worth the investment, and I use them daily. Also, I really like supporting small business, and with these great RSL products and customer service have never made it easier to do so. Big thanks RSL, for making my living room rock!

First off, I don’t right reviews, I read them. I am making an exception here because everything I read on line and heard from RSL Speaker System was true. I even waited 6 months to write this so I didn’t make any snap judgments. I also read the reviews on the website and they sounded like they were written by friends. I am in WI and have never heard of RSL prior to this.

I was looking at smaller satellite type speakers from all the major brand names and from a few I didn’t know. I wanted small, unobtrusive speakers that sounded great. I read the review from Sound & Vision and they gave the RSL 5.1 speakers a top pick with 5 stars in all three categories. Again, the skeptic in me came out and I figured RSL had a friend doing the review. So, I looked at the other speaker sets I had been thinking about and went and demo’d them in local stores. The S&V review for those sets had 2 ½+ stars in the categories and no category had 5 stars. After listening to the speakers, I agreed with the reviews and I was underwhelmed so I kept looking. I have a large room (18x18x18) with an open floor plan into the kitchen and the foyer. I was afraid small speakers wouldn’t fill the space.

I finally broke down and called RSL and spoke with Roger. He explained things to me and told me I could return them free of charge if I didn’t like them. He said he doesn’t take many back because he would go broke because the subwoofer weighs around 65 pounds by itself. I had every intention of sending them back after trying them and going with some small speaker set like Bose or Focal.

After getting the speakers and setting them up, I thought they sounded great. Roger was also a great help with the set up and picking a receiver. (He also explained that they would open up after a break in period – which they did.) I was following the set-up guidelines for speaker placement for home theater but didn’t like the placement all that much. Roger told me placing one in a cabinet on a shelf would throw the sound off. After listening to my concerns, I sent him photos of the room. He suggested moving the speakers all the way to the corners of the room. He said there would be plenty of sound to fill the area because they are a very spatial sounding speaker. He was right. They are in the corners about 7 feet up pointed slightly down towards the listening area. They are visible but not as bad as they would be had I put them where I had been thinking.

Although the size of the speakers is bigger than I wanted, I am extremely happy with my purchase. The sound quality blows away anything I was looking at so I am happy to live with the larger speaker size. My wife said she wanted something smaller but she really likes the sound these speakers put out so she is happy too. Bass was another concern I had. Well, the 65 lbs of subwoofer are more than enough for the room.

I hope you find this unsolicited review from a person that had never heard of RSL helpful. This is the first product I have ever reviewed and I am probably a pretty good consumer of high end products and don’t plan on writing reviews in the future.

So my friends and I watched the Matrix... and it blew everyone's socks off! absolutely amazing sound. Throughout the gunfight in the lobby scene you could hear every last piece of granite hitting the floor while the action roars on screen, everything was spectacularly clear. The iconic slow motion bullet dodge scene was incredibly realistic sounding, as if the bullets were whizzing by our ears, I cannot compliment your guys' work enough! oh and also in a scene with a big explosion we could actually feel the air being moved by the subwoofer from over 15 feet away! insane. love it love it love it.

I'm a happy man! Thank you,

I recently purchased the RSL 5.1 theater speaker system for home theater/music listening. This is absolutely the best sounding set of speakers I have ever owned. The surround effect is very realistic, and listening to music is a real pleasure. I'm an amateur audiophile at best but the range that this system produces is amazing and when the bass kicks in you really feel it! The fit and finish on everything I received is top-notch, I'm a woodworker by trade and I know high quality finish when I see it. It was a pleasure doing business with the people at RSL, everyone is courteous, professional, they know their product and their business, and they were very accommodating with me when I returned some unused stands and brackets. I would give this system and my whole experience with RSL 5 stars, highly recommended. The speakers are fantastic, we use them every day. Thanks!

I auditioned several speakers looking for a sound that fit my taste. I will say flat out that I know of no other speaker at this price that sounds this good. Speakers that I did compare them to are JBL L830, KEF Q300, Paradigm Studio 10, and Monitor Silver 10. The prices of each of the speakers above are above that of the RSL CG4's. The KEF did have a better sound stage to my ear, but not as pleasant a sound. The sub may not go as low as some much more expensive subs, but, and this is a big but, the sound is musical all the way down to the lowest notes you are likely to be able to hear. I had a reference Klipsch 12 that did more brute shaking but did not give me the enjoyment of the Speedwoofer in music or movies. In fact, I almost returned the Speedwoofer to get a more powerful sub until I realized I was listening to reviews from people who don't care as much about tight clear music as they to about pure force. Still, watching Avengers is over the top thunder from the Speedwoofer! Listening to Jesse Cook or The Dandy Warhols is ecstasy.

Advantages: I found the CG4 very easy to mount on my ceiling for my rear surrounds. The clarity of the CG24 center is just amazing. I had considered ceiling mounting the Paradigm Studio 10's before I found out they do not sound as good as the CG4's, and let me tell you, there is no easy way to ceiling mount a Studio 10. Period.

Bottom line: You will hear everything in the music there is to hear. You will have an audiophile system that can be run with an amp or receiver you can afford. You will have one of the easiest people in the industry to work with at your disposal: Howard Rogers. He knows how to help you set up and tune your system Listen to him.

Disadvantages: Okay, this is a little sticky for me to write. You get the sound of a much bigger speaker from what is really a pretty small box. How do it do? Oh wait, this is an advantage... My wife was sold on the CG4 because, "They are nice and small." (sic) There are no disadvantages.

Well, we've been in our new home for about one month now. The 5.1 RSLs are hooked up and working MIND BLOWINGLY WELL in my casita.

I cannot thank you enough for all the time you spent giving me GREAT advice. Your suggestion about getting a good AV receiver was spot on. I purchased the Marantz SR6007 (with a superb built-in phono amp). Listening to vinyl though the RSLs and the Marantz is a thrilling experience.

Movies sound wonderful, as do DVD-As and SACDs. The surround is great, the subwoofer is so integrated that I've had to go right in front of it to make sure it's putting out sound.......

My retirement has been enhanced, greatly, by my relationship with you, your staff, and your company.

I will be sending a picture soon to adorn your wall.

I rate you 5 stars in all categories: sound, look and feel, customer service, shipping, and support.

Again, I cannot express how valuable your personal service was to me. You completely understood what I was looking to accomplish and provided advice that gave me the "best bang for my buck".

Without a doubt, this has been the best purchase experience of my life.

I have had these speakers for around a year at this point. When ordering them there was an issue that occurred, but to my surprise Howard called me. I have been extremely satisfied with not only the sound quality, but just how well made these speakers are.Great imaging! I just got my rsl 5.1 home theater system up and running. Even though the speakers are not "broken in", I can say without a doubt these are phenomenal speakers and some of the the best, if not THE BEST, speakers that I have ever heard (and I have been listening to high end speakers for the last 40 years). The bass is clear and tight. The speakers are invisible and the reproduction is incredibly accurate. I played several tracks with which I was quite familiar and heard things - subtle nuances and harmonies - that I never heard before on my massive 4 way Infinity speakers. Your speakers are an excellent value and worth every cent of what they cost. I can not praise on them enough. It was an extremely fortunate accident that I happened on your website and I believe that anyone who is interested in high quality speakers which provide an amazingly accurate, transparent reproduction should purchase your speakers. Thank you for these wonderful speakers.

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for your time and professionalism with me with my RSL order. I must tell you how pleased I am with my 5.1 system! I have had other more expensive systems in the past, Polk, Bose, Klipsche, and Yamaha. None of these systems even come close to the flawless clarity of these speakers! The beautiful piano finish is so exquisite. And the unbelievable deep base of the Speedwoofer way surpassed my expectations! I combined the RSL 5.1 system with my Marantz SR7005 and watched Avatar on Blue Ray, the experience is comparable to ANY high-end home theater system. RATING

This is a very impressive "speaker system", not just 6 speakers but an integrated set of 4 surrounds, a center speaker, and a terrific subwoofer. They all blend together to give excellent clarity and realism to a variety of music and Blu-Ray movie sound tracks. These speakers quickly became the heart of my sound system which consists of an Onkyo Tx-SR875 A/V receiver, 52" Samsung HDTV, and an Oppo BDP-83 Blu-Ray DVD player. Their beautiful gloss black finish and grills look quite nice with surrounding furniture and decor items. Adds an unsuspecting plus to the purchase.

Saw an ad in Home Theater magazine which lead to my call with Howard Rodgers. He agreed to send me the center speaker first (freight free)to try out. Immediately heard the improvement (as did my daughter and two friends) between it and the existing KEF # HST-HTC-5001z center speaker purchased in 2008. Proceeded to order the rest of the speakers.

I used RSL's suggested 100 hz crossover frequency so the subwoofer didn't sound distinguishable, set the A/V receiver to neutral and ran a good quality RCA cable to the LFE input. Note also that all other speakers have good quality and size speaker wire terminal nuts that are easy to get to, unlike many small speakers on the market. Making set-up much easier.

Had a problem with humming noise from the subwoofer and called Howard for his thoughts since all options in “trouble-shooting” section failed to solve the problem. One suggestion was to try a 2 prong adaptor plug on their grounded power cord prior to plugging it into the wall outlet. It was, as he thought, the result of a 60 cycle grounding problem with my house current feeding back to the sub and causing the humming noise. Result: hum gone and problem solved. Great customer support and genuine willingness to help.

Absolutely thrilled with all of the speakers and their top-quality sound reproduction and accuracy. But best of all, the subwoofer with its remote control capabilities, great feature. I have not heard a sub this good at over twice the price. My thanks to Howard and RSL for making my home theater system sound as rich and beautiful as it now does.

I have had my RSL speakers for 4 months now, and the only reason I have not written a testimonial before now is because I have been too busy spending hours on end enthralled in front of my home theatre. I do not pretend to be an audiophile, or particularly knowledgeable when it comes to audio equipment, but I do know that the ear to ear grin I got when first listened to your speakers (Beethoven's 9th) is enough to tell me that I have a superior product in my home. All of the terms that people throw out when talking about high end audio that I took for marketing nonsense suddenly began to make sense. Every time I sit to watch a movie or listen to music I think of what a wonderful gift you have given me in your speakers. But what really separates RSL from anyone else is the unbelievable customer service your company provides. I believe you guys are truly in the business because you are passionate about what you do and not for profit, and I can honestly that I have never had a better buying experience in my life. RSL will be the only speakers I ever intend to buy, ever, which I think says more then anything else.

I wanted to let you know I have set up the two front speakers and the sub woofer and had to test it out, I just couldn't wait for all 4 speakers to be wired up. I listened to a live DVD concert of David Gilmour with Dolby 5.1 surround selected and I was completely blown away. I hurried and put in a Blu-ray movie, Superman Returns (excellent music sound track and a few good rumbling scenes) and before I knew it, I had watched the whole movie simply because I was drawn into the sound. One scene where Superman's meteorite is rumbling past Ma Kent's house shook her house, and shook mine too!

I also wanted to say I enjoyed reading the entire RSL Owner's Manual, maybe the only time I've ever read an entire manual in my life. I also had a friend over to check out the speakers tonight. His comments were nothing but the highest praise. He even made specific mention that even though he see's the speakers, he doesn't hear sound coming directly from the speakers, and how impressed he was by the wall of sound he was experiencing. He also couldn't believe the quality of the subwoofer, he even got down close to see if the bang of the movie was coming from that specific box, since it flowed so smoothly with the rest of the sound.

I am more than ecstatic using these speakers, and I can't thank you enough.

Here is the best way I can describe my satisfaction, and, then my wife's satisfaction with the speakers:

When I first used them, I decided to put on an Eric Clapton DVD to see how everything sounded. I really wanted to listen to only one song but I couldn't stop listening. I did manage to grudgingly get myself back to my work after I had listened to half the disc. Obviously, the speakers were great.

Now, for my wife. First, I told her to listen to the first 10 minutes of Beverly Hills Cop III. I didn't think it was such a good movie, nor did she, but she insisted on watching the whole movie. The movie sound was certainly attention grabbing. Then, we listened to a Barbra Streisand DVD. Her voice was coming smack-dab (as we used to say in the South) out of her mouth and was as beatiful as if we were there. But, alas, again, we couldn't stop watching until the disc had finished.

I appreciate all of your help and advice on the speakers and the setup.

To break in the speakers I had run a 25 hertz tone through them over night for a couple of nights. This pretty well broke in the woofers but apparently not the tweeters. When I set them up for some serious listening there was still a nasty stridency in the upper midrange. That had me worried.

After playing full-range music through the speakers for a couple of days while at work -- as you recommended -- that nastiness disappeared. The speakers now sound just as the reviewers had said, and as I had hoped. The balance is pretty much perfect and, like expensive studio monitors, the RSLs reveal differences between recordings that I hadn't heard with my previous speakers.

I'm building a collection of blu-ray opera and jazz recordings (good recordings are still pretty scarce) and these speakers, along with my NAD receiver, provide just the kind of musical experience I was looking for. There definitely is something to your Compression Guide tuning. The midrange sounds remarkably natural and balanced -- neither forward nor recessed.

I'm amazed at how full the bass sounds, even without a subwoofer. I played them most of one evening without the subwoofer and the RSLs sounded surprisingly balanced and complete. I had to check a couple times to make sure the subwoofer was still turned off. Turning on the subwoofer only added that bit of floor shake that had been missing at the bottom.

I've auditioned and purchased many speakers during my several decades of fascination with hi-fi, home audio and home theater. Considering the price and value, the RSLs are easily the best purchase I've ever made.

"ALL I CAN SAY IS , WOW!!!"

The saying, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is" Well you can throw that away here. This home theater system is a thing of beauty. Right out of the box the black luster is stunning.

But i didn't buy them for their looks, so the sound. The clarity the imaging the realism, its as if you were in a state of the art theater right in your own living room. You can here all of the musical instruments, each defined and separate. WOW!!! These little guys pack a punch. You would think you'd have to pay 10x this amount to get this kind of sound quality , but RSL has made it affordable. Thank you.

Now for the icing on the cake, the sub, "WOW"!!! This is what brings every thing to life. This thing is unreal, phenomenal even, everything you could ever ask of a subwoofer and more for thousands less. Spot on RSL great job!!! Thank you for making it possible for us to have this kind of quality at such an affordable price. I will be buying 2 more CG4 to make my 5.1 into a 7.1 very soon.

After several months of usage, I am happy to report that the perfectionist engineer in me is extremely satisfied with my RSL 5.1 Home Theater Speaker system. The quality in construction and design was immediately evident out of the box and the exceptional sound has exceeded my expectations. The CG4 speakers (two front, two surround), one CG24 (center) and the Speedwoofer 10 are all worthy of five star ratings. Teamed with an Onkyo TX-NR708 receiver and a Blu-ray disc player, the RSL speakers provide an amazing sound experience for movies, television, and all types of music. The sound is exceptional, particularly with Blu-ray DVDs. I found out the sampling rate is much higher on Blu-ray than normal DVDs and these speakers are awesome in reproducing the sound. We watched "Green Zone" starring Matt Damon on Blu-ray a few nights ago and I would swear a helicopter flew right through the room. I loved being able to feel the percussion effects of the bombs going off in Bagdad. The system is set up in our master bedroom and I sit on my side of the bed while Jennifer sits in the chair shown in the first picture. Even regular TV has been enhanced by this system.

I own a 5.1 system that consists of three RSL CG24 (Front Right, Front Left, Center) and two CG4 (SL, SR) 5 stars for a system as whole.

Compared with other brands that my friends own I have been proud of my investment, paid less too. When my buddies come by, they are astonished by my sound system and how such small speakers can sound so great.

When watching movies the details are good, speech is clear; now I have no reason to go to a movie theater. Once in a while I play music very loud and even then, no distortion heard. Now all my music sounds in a whole different way, with details that I never heard before.

I'm glad that RSL is back in business with their new line of speakers. Keep up great the products and service!!!

Room 15x9x21, probably considered on the "Bright" side. I never had an issue with the Def Tech's when listening to music, and with nothing to compare to. About 6 years ago my car was a Passat CC with a killer Dynaudio system. It lifted the proverbial "veil" off the music - crystal clear sound compared to the Def Tech's. because of that I would audition higher end systems with an eye to one day upgrading. I will run MACC room correction after 40 hours (using an old MACC setting now and maybe a reason for the center setting?) The shipping and packaging was as promised; excellent.

(On a side note, I also recently purchase a new receiver capable of handling 4ohm loads which I figured was a good idea since I’m using multiple CG24’s.) The overall package, once I acquired all the pieces, has been outstanding and very respectable, plus a lot of fun.

A New Loyal Customer.

I have had these speakers for around a year at this point. When ordering them there was an issue that occurred, but to my surprise Howard called me. We spent some time talking about the best ways to set up these speakers. We talked about the Receiver setup I was going to be using etc. I have never seen such excellent customer service or desire for others to truly enjoy a product. I have been extremely satisfied with not only the sound quality, but just how well made these speakers are.Great imaging! Mr. Rogers you have another satisfied customer and thank you for your business ethic.

I have friends with expensive speakers, but because of your work I listen to a much higher derivative of sound. They agree. So thank you once again for this ongoing joy! Your friend,

Usually I'd be pretty suspicious of all 5 star reviews for a product I was going to buy. Well, I got the RSL 5.1 system and now I understand what everyone was waxing lyrical about. These speakers are incredible, plain and simple. Thanks RSL.

Years back I have had Martin Logans, Dahlquists, JBL speakers but I don't think any have given me more enjoyment than your RSL CG system. They have exceeded my expectations. I'm totally satisfied...I don't think I've ever had a speaker set up that integrated the sub woofer as well as these. Just great.. Glad your company is back..

I am so pleased and I thank you for making such amazing speakers!

I just wanted to send you a note to thank you again for such great speakers! These are definitely the best speakers I have ever owned and I'm thoroughly enjoying them. The quality of sound reproduction is superb and I am amazed at what I hear. I'm pulling out all my old CDs and just listening. Yesterday I sat in my living room for four hours and listened to remastered CDs of Queen, Robben Ford and some new music by Herbie Hancock. It all sounds so good! I'm really enjoying them and I know you have put a lot of time, sweat and tears into this speaker technology. Great job man. Really! I appreciate it!

Here is the best way I can describe my satisfaction, and, then my wife's satisfaction with the speakers: When I first used them, I decided to put on an Eric Clapton DVD to see how everything sounded.

"ALL I CAN SAY IS , WOW!!!" The saying, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is" Well you can throw that away here. Advantages: Sound quality Price Craftsmanship Customer service Disadvantages: None

RSL, I have appreciated my Nevada RSL speakers without any problems or decrease in quality for 30 years. So it was a clear and simple decision to purchase a home theater system. If your priorities are incomparable durability, a great value, an honest company, and beautiful outstanding sound you should purchase an RSL system! Very sincerely, Jerry

Wow......I was looking at RSL speakers in the 70s and now I finally got them. Amazing! I got the 5.1 system and would rate it a 5. The speakers were easy to hang and they look great. They have turned my living room into concert hall. Outrageous. Thanks RSL.
