RSL SPEAKERS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our terms and conditions are in place to protect our 50+ year endeavor to provide high-performance audio equipment with exemplary service, at industry-leading prices. We will always strive to provide excellence to our customers.

  • Our 30-day trial applies to all RSL branded speakers and products.
  • The 30-day trial applies to RSL branded product orders up to $1500 USD (sales tax excluded)*
  • The trial begins on the day the order is delivered to the shipping address provided within the order.
  • Our trial includes FREE outbound shipping as well as FREE return shipping for all customers within the contiguous 48 states. International customers are responsible for return shipping as well as any costs associated with importation of the returned item(s). Initial outbound international shipping costs are not eligible for refund.
  • RSL’s 30-day trial period applies to international purchases. Outbound shipping charges are non-refundable. Purchaser is responsible for return shipping and all costs associated with returning the item.
  • Items returned in like-new condition are entitled to a refund in full; with the exception of Speedwoofers and wireless transmitters**.
  • One trial period applies per customer. For questions about how to best use the trial period, please contact us.
  • Upon completion of a trial period return, subsequent purchases will not be eligible for RSL’s 30 day trial period, unless otherwise stated in writing by RSL staff.
  • Item exchanges are subject to the terms of RSL’s trial period. Once exchanged, the trial period is considered satisfied. Exchanged items do not include a new trial period, unless otherwise stated in writing by RSL staff.
  • Order cancellations do not qualify as auditions and are not eligible for the terms of the trial period. (see order cancellation terms and conditions below).
  • Orders that are returned to sender due to the wrong address being provided or due to the item not being received at the intended delivery location, do not qualify as auditions and are not eligible for the terms and conditions of the trial period. (see orders returned to sender terms and conditions below).
  • By placing an order with RSL Speakers, you agree to all RSL terms and conditions.
  • *RSL’s 30 day trial period applies to orders up to $1500 USD. Orders in excess of $1500 USD are eligible for return, with the terms of the trial period applying to the first $1500 of items purchased. Remaining items are not eligible for free round-trip shipping and will be subject to shipping charges and a restocking fee. Please contact us with any questions about this. RSL is happy to provide guidance as to how to best use the trial period.
  • **A $50 return fee applies to all individual Speedwoofer 10S’s.
  • **A $150 return fee applies to all Speedwoofer 12S’s.
  • **A $10 restocking fee applies to all AT4 wireless transmitters.
  • **A $10 restocking fee applies to all AR4 wireless audio receivers.
  • **A $20 restocking fee applies to all wireless audio kits.
  • A request for return must be submitted to RSL within the 30 day trial period which begins the day of order delivery.
    • Return requests must be submitted by email or phone call.
    • Return authorization emails containing pre-paid return shipping labels and return procedures will be sent to the purchaser’s email address associated with the order.
    • The purchaser is required to complete the return within 7 days of receipt of RSL’s return authorization email. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to receive the return authorization email, by verifying the correct email address has been provided to RSL and checking spam folders to ensure the email was not automatically filtered by the purchaser’s email client.
  • Item(s) being returned must be received by RSL in like-new condition.
    • Blemishes and/or damage from use may incur a fee or void eligibility for return.
    • If an item is returned blemished or damaged from purchaser use, up to a 25% restocking will apply based on the extent of the blemish or damage, if the item is deemed eligible for return by RSL staff.
    • Excessively blemished or damaged items will not be eligible for return and will be shipped back to the purchaser. In such cases, the purchaser will be responsible for the cost of round-trip shipping, which includes the RMA return shipping to RSL and the second outbound shipping to the purchaser. This amount will be invoiced to the purchaser or withheld from any additional amount to be refunded.
    • Our priority is always to be lenient and avoid fees/voided return eligibility. If an item is to be returned, we recommend taking pictures of the item before repacking.
  • All items need to be correctly packed for return; in accordance with the steps provided in our return authorization email.
    • Purchaser is responsible for correctly re-packing items for return in accordance with instructions provided in RSL’s return authorization email. If there are any questions about how to repack an item, please contact us. We will be happy to assist.
    • Shipping damage caused by incorrect packaging is the responsibility of the purchaser, and will incur a restocking fee or may void the eligibility for return. If the item is not eligible for return due to excessive damage, it will be returned to the purchaser. The purchaser will be responsible for the cost of round-trip shipping which includes the RMA return shipping to RSL as well as the second outbound shipping to the purchaser. This amount will be invoiced to the purchaser or withheld from any additional amount to be refunded.
    • We would like to prevent occurrences of damage from RMA return shipping, and recommend taking pictures of boxes and packing material prior to sending item(s) to RSL.
    • If orders containing multiple boxes are requested for return, all items and boxes must be returned together as one combined shipment, using the return shipping labels and instructions provided in RSL’s return authorization email. Items returned at separate times incur additional charges which will be passed to the purchaser and withheld from any amount refunded.
    • If there are any questions about packaging or the return process, please contact us. We are happy to assist.
  • All accessories must be included with the returned item(s).
    • This includes grilles, manuals, cables, templates, as well as any other accessories that were provided.
    • Missing accessories will incur fees that will be withheld from the refund issued.
  • All returned items will be inspected and evaluated to determine cosmetic condition and ensure proper function.
    • This process may take up to five business days, but is often less.
    • Items returned in like-new condition will receive a refund in full, with the exception of Speedwoofers and wireless transmitters**.
    • Items returned blemished or damaged that are deemed eligible for return will receive a refund less fees incurred for said damage. These fees may be up to 25% and will be based on the item’s condition.
    • Items with excessive blemishes or damage will not be eligible for return and will be shipped back to the purchaser. The purchaser will be responsible for the cost of round-trip shipping, including the RMA return shipping to RSL as well as the second outbound shipping to the purchaser. This amount will be invoiced to the purchaser or withheld from any additional amount to be refunded.
    • Refunds can be issued only to the original credit card or PayPal account used for the initial purchase.
    • A confirmation email will be sent when a refund is issued. Please retain this email for your records.
    • Once a refund is issued, it may take several days for the funds to return to your account. This is not decided by RSL. It is determined by the credit card provider/financial institution.
  • *RSL’s 30 day trial period applies to orders up to $1500 USD. Orders in excess of $1500 USD are eligible for return, with the terms of the trial period applying to the first $1500 of items purchased. Remaining items are not eligible for free round-trip shipping and will be subject to shipping charges and a restocking fee. Please contact us with any questions about this. RSL is happy to provide guidance as to how to best use the trial period.
  • **A $50 return fee applies to each Speedwoofer 10S MKII.
  • **A $150 return fee applies to each Speedwoofer 12S.
  • **A $15 return fee applies to each iA255.1 Compact Integrated Amplifier.
  • **A $10 return fee applies to each AT4 wireless transmitter and AR4 wireless receiver.
  • Orders canceled prior to shipping are subject to a 3.5% cancellation fee.
    • RSL will withhold a 3.5% cancellation fee from the refund unless otherwise stated in writing by RSL staff.
  • RSL does not guarantee the ability to cancel an order prior to shipping.
    • RSL will always attempt to accommodate order cancellation requests prior to shipping, but cannot guarantee this.
    • RSL processes and ships orders very quickly. Shipping may occur the same day the order is placed. In some cases an order may be filled moments before the daily pick-up occurs by the shipping carrier. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to be mindful of this and consider this carefully before placing an order.
    • When an item ships, a shipping confirmation email with tracking information will be automatically sent to the email address submitted with the order. This is an indication the order has shipped and will no longer be able to be canceled prior to shipping. RSL is not responsible if the shipping confirmation email is missed by mistake, due to spam filters, or incorrect email addresses submitted with orders.
  • Orders canceled after shipping has taken place will be subject to round-trip shipping costs and restocking fees.
    • Orders canceled after shipping are subject to the following:
      • Round-trip shipping charges. Per all freight carriers, orders cannot be stopped once in transit. They must complete their journey to the destination shipping hub where they may be sorted and then routed back to RSL. In some cases, the items may still be delivered to the purchaser. In either case, round-trip shipping charges will apply with no exceptions. The purchaser is responsible for these round-trip shipping costs.
      • Restocking fees. RSL must open all returned items (new or used) for inspection, testing, and reconditioning. New packaging must be provided, and the items must be placed in RSL’s outlet store at a reduced price. The purchaser is responsible for these costs in their entirety.
    • All charges and costs incurred by RSL due to cancellation after shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser and will be withheld from the refund issued. By placing an order with RSL, you agree to these terms and conditions.
    • Please order carefully as cancellation after shipping is an occurrence we would like to avoid at all costs.
  • Order cancellations are not eligible for the terms and conditions of RSL’s 30 day in-home trial period.
    • RSL’s trial period is to provide purchasers with the ability to audition RSL Speakers with absolute peace of mind. RSL’s trial does not apply to orders canceled either before or after shipping.
  • Request for order cancellation (after shipping) voids RSL’s 30 day in-home trial period.
    • When an order is requested to be canceled despite having already been shipped, it is understood and agreed that no audition or “trial” will take place. As such, the terms and conditions of RSL’s 30 -day trial period are voided.
    • Attempts to subvert RSL’s cancellation policy by opening and then repacking a canceled order that has shipped and delivered, will not be accepted. The 30-day trial period will remain voided and round-trip shipping charges and restocking fees will apply. These charges will be withheld from any refund issued. By placing an order with RSL, you agree to these terms and conditions.
  • The following are some examples of circumstances that will cause an order to be returned to sender (RSL Speakers):
    • Incorrect shipping address provided at time of order, and not corrected prior to shipping.
    • An order not being retrieved from the delivery location within an appropriate time frame.
    • Orders being sent to unauthorized or undeliverable locations.
    • Orders sent without proper arrangements being made in advance by the purchaser at the delivery destination.
  • Orders that are returned to sender (RSL Speakers) due to the reasons above, or any reasons beyond RSL’s control, are not auditions and are not eligible for RSL’s 30 day in-home trial period terms and conditions. 
    • Orders returned to sender (RSL Speakers) are subject to the following:
      • Round-trip shipping charges. If an order is returned to sender, the sender (RSL) is billed for round trip shipping charges with no exceptions. RSL will forward these charges to the purchaser, and will withhold them from any refund issued. If the order is renewed by the purchaser, RSL will collect round-trip shipping charges prior to sending the order for the second time.
      • Restocking fees. RSL must open all returned items (new or used) for inspection, testing, and reconditioning. New packaging must be provided, and the items must be placed in RSL’s outlet store at a reduced price. The purchaser is responsible for these costs in their entirety. If the order is renewed and the same items from the original order are eligible to be re-sent, RSL may waive some or all of the restocking fees at RSL’s discretion.
  • To prevent such occurrences, please do the following:
    • Double check the address provided when the order is placed.
    • If the order is being sent to a FedEx, UPS, USPS, or third-party receiving operation, be sure to retrieve the order within the time frame required by the receiving operation. In most cases, a valid government issued ID will be required for pick up.
    • If the order is being sent to a front desk/reception area/lobby of a business or residence, be sure all proper arrangements are made in advance.
  • Requests for order changes or modifications need to be submitted as soon as possible after an order is placed.
    • Order modifications include address changes, email/phone number changes, order additions/reductions, and/or item color changes.
    • If any of the above need to be changed, please notify us as soon as possible and before the order ships.
  • RSL does not guarantee the ability to change or modify an order after the order is placed. 
    • RSL will always do its best to accommodate last minute order modifications and changes, however we cannot guarantee this.
    • RSL processes and ships orders very quickly. Shipping may occur the same day the order is placed. In some cases an order may be filled moments before the daily pick-up occurs by the shipping carrier. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to be mindful of this and consider this carefully before placing the order.
    • When an item ships, a shipping confirmation email with tracking information will be automatically sent to the email address submitted with the order. This is an indication the order has shipped and that modifications can no longer be made. RSL is not responsible if the shipping confirmation email is missed by mistake, due to spam filters, or incorrect email addresses submitted with orders.
  • Address changes cannot be guaranteed once an order ships. Additional fees will apply.
    • Once an order is in transit, RSL may submit an address change request to the freight carrier, but there is no guarantee it will be honored. RSL has no control once the package has left RSL’s possession. Please order with this in mind.
    • Freight carriers charge fees for address change requests made during transit. If you make such a request, then you agree that the RSL will charge your credit card for the additional fees incurred.
    • Address change requests frequently result in packages becoming lost by the carrier. To prevent this, we recommend verifying all information is correct before submitting an order.
  • Order exchanges are honored under RSL’s 30 day trial period terms and conditions.
    • Items may be exchanged under RSL’s 30 day trial period. Restocking fees apply to Speedwoofers and wireless transmitters.
    • A completed exchange satisfies RSL’s 30 day in-home trial period. A new trial period does not apply to the exchanged item.
    • If an order needs to be exchanged due to a color change, please complete your audition first. Upon completion of the audition, RSL will exchange the item. A new trial period does not apply to the exchanged item.
  • RSL has partnered with Route.com to handle all after ship care including damage or loss. 
    • Route.com will send an introduction email for all orders placed with RSL. Please retain this email for your records. Should an item be lost or arrive damaged, this email will be used to initiate a claim.
  • If an item is received with damage, it needs to be reported within 7 days of delivery.
    • Freight carriers provide a limited window in which to report shipping damage and file a claim. Route.com operates within this window and must receive damage claims within 7 days of delivery.
    • Be sure to inspect all items upon arrival to ensure they are damage free.
    • Damage discovered more than 7 days past the date of delivery will not be eligible for refund or replacement.
  • Damaged items reported within the 7 day window are entitled to cost reductions or replacements.
    • Damage may be reported to RSL, but will need to be reported to and handled by Route.com.
    • Route.com is authorized to offer credit in the form of refunds or item replacements.
    • If a replacement is authorized, Route.com will order a replacement through RSL directly.
      • If a replacement item is ordered by Route.com, the damaged item will need to be returned to RSL. RSL will provide a pre-paid RMA return shipping label to the purchaser via email.
      • The purchaser is required to complete the return of the damaged item within 7 days of receipt of RSL’s return authorization email. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to receive the return authorization email by verifying the correct email address has been provided to RSL and checking spam folders to ensure the email was not automatically removed by the purchaser’s email client.
  • RSL has partnered with Route.com to handle all after ship care including damage or loss. 
    • Route.com will send an introduction email for all orders placed with RSL. Please retain this email for your records. Should an item become lost in transit, this email will be used to initiate a claim.
  • Items lost in transit are eligible for a replacement, which will be processed through Route.com.
    • Items lost in transit need to be reported to Route.com.
    • Route.com will advise of the next steps in order to provide the replacement order.
    • In most cases, Route.com will allow time for the shipping carrier to investigate and locate the lost item before issuing the order for a replacement.
      • If the shipping carrier is able to locate the package, it will be delivered as originally intended.
      • If the item is not able to be recovered, Route.com will order the replacement from RSL Speakers.
  • Orders that are lost after delivery has taken place are not covered by Route.com or RSL Speakers, with the exception of porch piracy.
    • For porch piracy to be covered, Route.com may require video/doorbell camera footage of the theft taking place.
    • For porch piracy to be covered, Route.com may also require a police report be filed, with copies of documentation provided to Route.com
    • If piracy is likely or a frequent occurrence, we recommend selecting an alternate destination for delivery.
  • Receivers that are special ordered will require an additional lead time prior to shipping (to be stated at time of purchase).
  • Availability is based on manufacturer inventory, and subject to change at any time.
  • RSL’s 30 day trial period applies only to RSL Speakers. Receivers do not qualify as we do not design or manufacture them. We provide them and offer bundle discounts with our speakers as a convenience.
  • All receivers are new, include a full manufacturer warranty, and are guaranteed to perform as the manufacturer intended; unless otherwise stated.
  • RSL provides limited technical support for receivers bundled with our speakers. If RSL support deems an issue is a manufacturer’s service or performance issue, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to first seek support from the receiver manufacturer. This may require the customer to open a support ticket with the manufacturer.  A manufacturer support ticket is required in the event that a repair or replacement is necessary.
  • If a bundle is purchased but the speakers are returned under our trial period, the full retail price for the receiver will apply. The remaining balance is eligible for refund.

RSL Receiver Return Terms & Conditions:

  • A request for return must be submitted to RSL within the 30 day trial period which begins the day of order delivery.
    • Receiver return requests must be submitted by email or phone call.
    • Return authorization emails will be sent to the purchaser’s email address associated with the order.
    • The purchaser is required to complete the return within 7 days of receipt of RSL’s return authorization email. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to receive the return authorization email, by verifying the correct email address has been provided to RSL and checking spam folders to ensure the email was not automatically filtered by the purchaser’s email client.
  • Purchaser is responsible for RMA return shipping.
    • Purchaser is responsible for the shipping of the receiver back to RSL via a shipping carrier of the purchaser’s choice. Fedex or UPS is recommended.
    • Purchaser must provide RSL Speakers the tracking number associated with the return.
    • The customer is responsible for purchasing shipping insurance for the full value of the receiver being returned. If shipping insurance is not purchased for the full value of the receiver, the purchaser is responsible for the entire amount not covered.
  • Receivers being returned must be received by RSL in new or like-new condition.
    • Receivers returned in unopened / new condition are eligible for a refund in full less original shipping costs.
    • Receivers returned in like-new / unblemished condition are eligible for a refund less a 10% restocking fee and original shipping costs.
    • Receivers returned with blemishes and/or damage from use will incur a restocking fee of up to 25%, or eligibility for return may be voided.
    • Excessively blemished or damaged receivers will not be eligible for return and will be shipped back to the purchaser. In such cases, the purchaser will be responsible for the cost of the second outbound shipping to the purchaser. This amount will be invoiced to the purchaser or withheld from any additional amount to be refunded.
  • All receivers need to be correctly packed for return as per the original factory packaging.
    • Purchaser is responsible for correctly re-packing receivers for return in accordance with original factory packaging and contents.
    • Shipping damage caused by incorrect packaging or rough handling during transit  is the responsibility of the purchaser, and will incur a restocking fee (see above) or may void the eligibility for return. If the item is not eligible for return due to excessive damage, it will be returned to the purchaser. The purchaser will be responsible for the cost of the second outbound shipping to the purchaser. This amount will be invoiced to the purchaser or withheld from any additional amount to be refunded.
    • If damage occurs from RMA return shipping, the purchaser will be responsible for any necessary damage claim with their selected shipping carrier.
  • All accessories must be included with the returned receivers.
    • This includes antennas, cables, power cords, literature, batteries, as well as any other accessories that were provided.
    • Missing accessories will incur fees that will be withheld from the refund issued; or may void eligibility for return altogether.
  • All returned receivers will be inspected and evaluated to determine cosmetic condition and ensure proper function.
    • This process may take up to seven business days.
    • Refunds can be issued only to the original credit card or PayPal account used for the initial purchase.
    • A confirmation email will be sent when a refund is issued. Please retain this email for your records.
    • Once a refund is issued, it may take several days for the funds to return to your account. This is not decided by RSL. It is determined by the credit card provider/financial institution.

RSL’s Warranty:

  • RSL provides a 5 year warranty on RSL branded transducers, crossovers, and enclosures; and a 2 year warranty on RSL branded amplifiers and wireless devices.
    • RSL’s warranty guarantees items are free of manufacturer defects and function as RSL intends.
    • RSL’s warranty does not cover mishandling, improper use, abuse, or use in applications outside of the home. Such uses void the warranty.
    • RSL’s warranty does not cover exposure to water or moisture or other elements from outdoor or improper use.
    • RSL speakers are intended for home use. Use in outdoors, commercial applications or in vehicles is not covered by RSL’s warranty. Such uses will void the warranty.
    • RSL’s warranty does not cover opening or disassembling speakers. Such actions will void the warranty unless permission is granted in advance by RSL.
    • Original purchaser’s name and order number are required to begin a warranty claim.
  • All RSL branded items include RSL’s full warranty when purchased directly from RSL.
    • RSL’s warranty applies to all new or outlet store items.
    • Items purchased second hand or from a third-party retailer are not covered by RSL’s warranty.
  • Warranty claim procedure:
    • If a warranty claim is needed, the purchaser of the item is to contact RSL via email or phone call. Purchaser name and order number will need to be provided.
    • If a claim is opened within 30 days of initial delivery, either a replacement part or an item exchange will be offered. RSL will cover the cost of either option, as well as any shipping costs associated.
    • If a warranty claim is opened after 30 days of delivery but within the warranty period:
      • RSL may offer to repair or replace the item.
      • The purchaser is responsible for the shipping cost of any replacement parts sent or the shipping cost for the entire item itself to be returned to RSL for service.
      • If an item is sent in for service and a repair is completed under warranty, RSL will cover the shipping back to the owner anywhere within the contiguous 48 states.
    • If RSL sends a replacement part for installation in the home, the purchaser is responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement part. RSL may include a pre-paid label to receive the non-functional part back after the repair is completed. The in-home installation of the replacement part will not void RSL’s warranty.
    • If an item requires servicing at RSL’s repair facility, the owner is responsible for shipping the item to RSL. The owner is responsible for ensuring the safe arrival of the item. This includes packing the item correctly to ensure safety during transport. The owner is responsible for purchasing insurance for the item in case it is lost or damaged in transit.
    • If RSL receives an item that has damage, RSL will photograph the damage and provide pictures to the owner. The owner can determine if the damage existed prior to shipping, or if a claim needs to be opened with their selected freight carrier.
    • RSL will always attempt to provide prompt and thorough service.
    • Repaired items sent back to the owner are insured in the event of loss or damage.
    • If RSL determines that an item sent in for repair has failed due to misuse, mishandling, abuse, use outside the home, exposure to elements, or unauthorized disassembling; the warranty will be voided. RSL will report the findings to the owner. If the owner wishes to proceed with repairs, the owner will be responsible for the cost of said repairs. The owner will also be responsible for the round-trip shipping costs associated with the servicing and repair.
    • For service requests outside of the warranty period, the owner is responsible for the cost of repairs performed as well as the return shipping of the item once the work is completed. RSL will provide a quote for the work upfront and will proceed to repair the item upon the purchaser’s approval.
    • Repairs not covered by RSL’s warranty will be kept as cost effective as possible to the item’s owner.

RSL’s Website General Use Policy:

By using the Website, you agree to be bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of the Website. If you do not agree to be bound by all of the following terms please do not access, use and/or contribute to the Website.

RSL Speakers may change these terms from time to time and so you should check these terms regularly. Your continued use of the Website will be deemed acceptance of the updated or amended terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should cease using the Website.

All copyright, trademarks, design rights, patents, database rights and other intellectual property rights in and on the Website shall remain vested in RSL Speakers. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, disassemble,decompile, reverse engineer, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use Website content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use without our prior written consent. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any Website content except for your own personal, non-commercial use.
