Our terms and conditions are in place to protect our 50+ year endeavor to provide high-performance audio equipment with exemplary service, at industry-leading prices. We will always strive to provide excellence to our customers.

RSL's 30-Day In-Home Trial Period Policy

Overview of the Trial Period

RSL offers a 30-day trial period for all RSL-branded speakers and products, allowing customers to experience our high-quality audio equipment risk-free (some fees may apply). This trial applies to product orders totaling up to AU$3,000. The trial period commences on the day the order is delivered to the shipping address specified in the order confirmation.

Shipping Information

  • Domestic Customers: We provide *Limited Free outbound and return shipping for all customers residing within Australia. This ensures a hassle-free experience for our valued customers.
  • *Limited Free Shipping: We include Free Shipping to most metropolitan areas of Australia, however some remote areas and/or heavyweight shipments may exceed our Free Shipping threshold and incur additional cost.
  • International Customers: Customers outside of Australia are responsible for return shipping costs and any fees related to the importation of returned items. Please note that initial outbound shipping costs for international orders are non-refundable.

Return Fees for Specific Products

Items returned in like-new condition are eligible for a full refund, with the following exceptions:

  • Speedwoofer 10S MKII / 10E: AU$75 return fee each
  • Speedwoofer 12S: AU$250 return fee each
  • iA255.1: AUD$30 return fee each
  • Speedwoofer Grilles (10S MKII / 12S): AU$30 return fee each
  • AT4 and AR4 Wireless Transmitter/Receiver: AU$20 return fee each (AU$25 both together)

 Limitations of the Trial Period

  • One Trial per Customer: Each customer is permitted only one trial period. If a return is completed, any subsequent purchases will not qualify for the 30-day trial unless otherwise specified in writing by RSL staff.
  • Exchanges: If an item is exchanged, the trial period is considered fulfilled, and a new trial period will not be issued unless expressly stated by RSL staff.
  • Cancellations: Order cancellations do not qualify as a trial and are not eligible for the associated terms and conditions outlined here.
  • Returned to Sender Orders: Orders returned to the sender due to an incorrect address or failure to collect the package do not qualify for the trial terms and conditions.

 Return Process: How to Initiate a Return

  1. Initiate Return Request: Customers must submit a return request within the 30-day trial period. This can be done via email or phone call.
  2. Return Authorization: Upon receipt of your return request, RSL will send an email containing a prepaid return shipping label and detailed return instructions. This email will be sent to the address associated with the order.
  3. Completion of Return: Customers must ship the item back within 7 days of receiving the return authorization email. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the correct email address is provided and to check spam folders for the return authorization email.

 Condition of Returned Items

  • All items must be returned in like-new condition to be eligible for a full refund.
  • Blemishes or Damage: If an item is returned with blemishes or damage caused by customer use, it may incur a restocking fee of up to 25% based on the extent of the damage. If the item is deemed excessively damaged, it will be returned to the customer at their expense.
  • Non-Eligibility for Return: Items returned with excessive damage will not qualify for a refund and will be sent back to the purchaser. The customer will be responsible for both the return shipping to RSL and the shipping back to them.

Packaging Requirements for Returns

To avoid any shipping damage, we recommend the following practices:

  • Proper Packaging: Items should be correctly packed following the instructions provided in the return authorization email.
  • Photographic Evidence: We advise taking photographs of the item and its packaging before returning it to RSL to document its condition.
  • Combined Shipments: If returning multiple boxes, all items and boxes must be included in a single shipment. Returning items separately may incur additional charges.

Accessory Requirements

All original accessories included with the purchased item must be returned. This includes:

  • Grilles
  • Manuals
  • Cables
  • Templates
  • Any other accessories originally provided

Failure to return all accessories may result in fees being deducted from the refund amount.

Refund Process

  • Issuance of Refunds: Refunds will be processed and credited back to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Confirmation of Refund: A confirmation email will be sent to the customer when the refund has been issued. Please retain this email for your records.
  • Timeframe for Refunds: While RSL processes refunds promptly, it may take several days for the funds to be reflected in your account. This duration is determined by your credit card provider or financial institution and is outside of RSL's control.

    Order Change Policy

    Order Cancellations

    • Cancellation Fees: Orders canceled before shipping incur a 3.5% processing fee, withheld from the refund unless stated otherwise in writing by RSL staff.
    • Cancellation Requests: RSL does not guarantee order cancellations prior to shipping, though we will attempt to accommodate requests made promptly after ordering. Due to our quick processing and shipping (often the same day), please be mindful of this before placing an order.
    • Shipping Confirmation: Once an item ships, a confirmation email with tracking information will be sent. This indicates the order has left our facility and cannot be canceled. RSL is not liable for missed emails due to spam filters or incorrect email addresses.
    • Post-Shipping Cancellations: Orders canceled after shipping are subject to round-trip shipping costs and restocking fees. RSL is not responsible for these charges, which will be deducted from any refund.
    • 30-Day Trial Period: Requesting a cancellation voids RSL's 30-day in-home trial period. No audition or trial will occur for canceled orders, and any attempts to bypass this by repacking items will result in round-trip shipping and restocking fees being applied.

     Orders Returned to Sender

    • Circumstances for Returns: Orders may be returned to sender for reasons beyond RSL's control, including incorrect addresses, failure to retrieve packages, or unauthorized delivery locations.
    • Non-Audition Returns: Such returns are not eligible for RSL's 30-day trial period.
    • Charges: Returned orders will incur round-trip shipping charges and restocking fees, which will be deducted from any refund. If the order is re-sent, these charges must be paid upfront.
    • Preventing Returns: To avoid returns, double-check the provided shipping address and ensure retrieval from delivery locations in a timely manner.

       Order Changes and Modifications

      • Modification Requests: Changes such as address updates, item additions, or color changes must be submitted as soon as possible after placing an order. RSL cannot guarantee modifications after orders are placed due to rapid processing.
      • Shipping Confirmation: Once an order ships, modifications can no longer be made. Shipping confirmation emails will be sent, and RSL is not responsible for missed emails.
      • Address Changes: Once shipped, address changes are not guaranteed. Additional fees may apply, and there is a risk of lost packages if changes are requested during transit.

         Order Exchanges

        • Exchange Eligibility: Exchanges are allowed under RSL's 30-day trial period. Return fees may apply for certain products.
        • Trial Period: A completed exchange satisfies the trial period, and a new trial period does not apply unless stated otherwise in writing by RSL staff.
        • Color Change Exchanges: If an item needs to be exchanged due to a color change, complete the audition first. A new trial period does not apply to exchanged items.

          RSL’s  ‘Premium Protect’ Shipping Policy

          RSL now offers premium shipping protection with every order, providing a faster and more streamlined claims process for damage, loss, or theft during shipping. Customers will have the option to “opt-out” of purchasing this protection at checkout, with coverage options based on the order amount.

          Coverage Details:

          • Shipping Damage:
            • Covers damage caused by the shipping carrier.
            • Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
            • Customers must provide photos of the shipping box, packaging, and the damaged item.
            • Eligible claims can result in a partial refund or replacement.
              • Factory new items will be replaced with identical new items.
              • Open-box items will be replaced with an open-box item of equal condition or upgraded if unavailable.
            • RSL covers the return shipping cost for damaged items, but customers must complete the return within 7 days of receiving a return authorization email.
          • Shipping Loss:
            • Covers items lost in transit if premium protection is purchased.
            • Lost items must be reported within 72 hours of the estimated delivery date.
            • RSL will attempt to locate the lost item within 5 business days; if unsuccessful, a replacement or full refund will be provided.
          • Order Theft:
            • Covers theft (e.g., porch piracy) for within 8 hours after delivery (email needs to be submitted within this timeframe).
            • A police report is required, along with any available video evidence of the theft.
            • RSL recommends considering alternative delivery locations if theft is common in your area.

          Important Notes:

          • If you choose to opt out of RSL's premium shipping protection, you assume all risks for lost, damaged, or stolen items. The shipping carrier may provide limited coverage in such cases.
          • RSL strongly recommends purchasing this protection to safeguard your investment.

           

          RSL Warranty Policy

          RSL offers a 5-year warranty for RSL-branded transducers, crossovers, and enclosures, and a 2 or 3 year warranty for RSL-branded amplifiers and wireless devices as designated at time of purchase. This warranty ensures that all items are free from manufacturing defects and perform as intended by RSL.

          Exclusions from Warranty:

          • The warranty does not cover damage due to mishandling, improper use, abuse, or usage outside the home environment. Such activities will void the warranty.
          • Exposure to water, moisture, or outdoor elements is not covered, and using RSL speakers in outdoor, commercial, or vehicular applications is also excluded from warranty coverage.
          • Opening or disassembling speakers without prior permission from RSL will void the warranty.

          Warranty Claim Requirements: To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must provide their name and order number. RSL’s warranty applies to all new and outlet items purchased directly from RSL. Items bought second-hand or through third-party retailers are not eligible for warranty coverage.

          Claim Process:

          1. Initial Contact: If a warranty claim is necessary, the purchaser should reach out to RSL via email or phone, providing their name and order number.
          2. Claims within 30 Days: For claims made within 30 days of delivery, RSL will offer a replacement part or an item exchange at no charge, including shipping costs.
          3. Claims after 30 Days: Claims made after 30 days, but within the warranty period, may result in repair or replacement. The purchaser will be responsible for shipping costs associated with replacement parts or returning the item for service. If an item is repaired under warranty, RSL will cover the shipping back to the owner within Australia.
          4. In-Home Repairs: If a replacement part is sent for home installation, the purchaser is responsible for shipping costs for the new part. RSL may include a pre-paid label for the return of the non-functional part. In-home installation of the replacement part does not void the warranty.
          5. Shipping Responsibilities: The owner must ship items to RSL for service, ensuring they are packaged securely for transport and insured against loss or damage. If RSL identifies damage upon receipt, photographs will be taken and sent to the owner for review. 

          Service and Repair: RSL aims to provide prompt and comprehensive service. If an item is deemed to have failed due to misuse, mishandling, or unauthorized disassembly, the warranty will be void. RSL will inform the owner of these findings, and if repairs are requested, the owner will incur all repair and return shipping costs.

          For requests made outside the warranty period, the owner will be responsible for repair costs and return shipping. RSL will provide a cost estimate before proceeding with any non-warranty repairs, ensuring they remain as affordable as possible.

          By accessing or using the "RSL" website (hereafter referred to as “the Website”), you are agreeing to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using the Website.

          The Website is operated by RSL. By utilizing the Website or placing orders through it, you consent to adhere to these terms and conditions. Only after you accept these terms are you permitted to submit electronic orders. Any breach of these terms may result in the cancellation of your account.

          Eligibility
          This website is intended for individuals aged 18 and older.

          Account Responsibilities

          Upon registering on the Website, you will gain access to product prices, inventory, and the ability to place orders online. You are responsible for ensuring the security and privacy of your account. RSL will not be held liable for any unauthorized access to your account due to your actions, including but not limited to failing to log out or sharing your password. We reserve the right to decline registration or terminate accounts at our discretion.

          Acceptable Use Policy

          You agree not to engage in, or allow others to engage in, the following actions:

          (a) Posting or transmitting any illegal, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate content, including any actions that could be deemed a criminal offense or violate any local, national, or international laws.

          (b) Distributing information or software that contains viruses or harmful components.

          (c) Uploading or distributing materials protected by copyright or other proprietary rights without the proper permissions.

          (d) Sharing your account, including allowing third parties to use your credentials.

          Modifications to Terms and Conditions

          RSL reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will take effect as soon as they are posted on the Website. Your continued use of the Website indicates your acceptance of these changes. It is your responsibility to regularly review these terms for updates.

           

          Payment Obligations

          You agree to pay the full price for all products purchased from the Website. Additional charges may apply to your credit card or PayPal account for purchases. You are responsible for ensuring timely payment and providing valid payment information.

          Electronic Communication

          When you interact with the Website or send us emails, you are engaging in electronic communication. By communicating electronically, you consent to receive communications from us in this manner. You acknowledge that these electronic communications constitute your acceptance of any agreements or transactions made.

          Call and Interaction Recording

          You acknowledge that phone calls with RSL representatives may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. Additionally, RSL and its service providers may record information about your interactions with the Website for purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy.

          Copyright and Licensing

          Governing Law

          Dispute Resolution

          Any disputes arising from your use of the Website or your purchases will be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, USA according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator’s decision will be final and can be enforced in any competent court.

          Indemnification

          You agree to indemnify and hold RSL and its affiliates harmless from any claims, losses, or damages resulting from your use of the Website or violation of these terms.

          Miscellaneous Provisions

          RSL's failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision. These terms may be modified only in writing, and RSL may assign its rights under these terms at any time. If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions will still apply.
