The truth is, box speakers today are made exactly the same way they were back in the 60s and 70s. Funny to think that in 50 years, there hasn't been any major change in design. The problem is, box speakers have always suffered from a problem called cabinet resonance. And that hasn't changed either.
To cut to the chase, this is where evolution comes in to play. We believed resonance could be conquered and spent over a decade playing with cabinet designs and mathematical formulas to find a way to do it. And eventually, after abundant failure, we found one. So we patented it and named it Compression Guide (CG).
CG is actually a relatively inexpensive design that increases sound realism by dividing the inner speaker cabinet into areas of compression and expansion; effectively reducing resonance. Does CG eliminate all cabinet resonance? We wish. But it does reduce it enough to make a substantial improvement in the sound. The difference is measurable immediately noticeable. Turns out, a little science goes a long way.

This is where we share some things retailers don't want you to know. Speakers are the biggest cash crop in the audio/video world and we're about to reveal the behind-the-scenes process for retailers to sell them. It might change the way you look at speakers next time you're at a home theater chain or boutique.
The process starts with the manufacturer (XYZ Speakers) who designs and builds the speakers. Their job is to reach a certain level of sound for a cost that will allow them to sell the product to distributors for enough profit to cover materials, keep their factories going, pay all employees, and make the company money.
The distributors buy large quantities of speakers, mark them up, and sell those them to a list of retail chains and boutiques. They charge enough to cover other purchases and of course make a fair living.
Now the retailer has the speakers. And since speakers are their biggest cash crop (TVs are among the worst); this is their opportunity to make the highest profit margin of all audio/video components. At the end of the day retailers aim to sell their speakers for nearly double what they paid for them.
So ultimately you pay $3000 for an awesome speaker system; but do you really get $3000 sound? Even $2000? Nope. Maybe $1500 on a good day.
Imagine instead, if you could go straight to the XYZ factory and buy the same set of speakers there. Wouldn't that be awesome? That's what factory-direct is. Does it make sense why that's such a huge advantage for us and you?

If you’re not thrilled with an RSL product within 30 days, return it hassle-free. Just contact us and we will email a return label with instructions. A return fee will apply to each Speedwoofer, wireless device, and amplifier / AV receiver included. (For International Returns are different, call us.)
