I purchased this sub because of the overwhelmingly good reviews and sentiment I saw on Reddit and audio forums. It’s rare for the audiophile crowd to almost unanimously agree a product is amazing, there’s usually some snobs saying anything under $xxx isn’t worth looking at. Truthfully it made me skeptical, I thought maybe there was a bunch of paid reviews mixed in. It couldn’t be that great compared to other budget subs… right? If anything the hype online is under selling this sub. I was looking to replace a Jamo 8” sub that was very accurate but lacked oomph. I listened to some $200-400 subs and ultimately bought a $300 10” Klipsch. It was a significant upgrade in oomph but after living with it for a while I realized it was super sloppy and still not all that powerful. So I upgraded to the 10e for a few bucks more. And wow, just wow. This thing is in an entirely different league than all the other budget subs I sampled. With the subs gain turned up halfway this thing will absolutely rattle the entire house, I consider myself an occasional bass head and at no point have I wanted to crank that knob all the way up. Definitely power to spare. It also hits deep and is shockingly accurate and tight, even at window rattling volumes. I typically keep the gain around 40% and even then it has such a strong presence that I’m thinking I need a speaker upgrade to get a more balanced sound stage. That isn’t a complaint at all, it could be adjusted down more to balance things but I’d rather let it bump and buy speakers that can keep up. This is the most impressed I’ve been with a product in a long time and it’s worth so much more than what they’re charging. 10/10 product, if you’re considering it, pull the trigger before they realize they should be charging way more.
