Our terms and conditions are designed to protect this commitment, ensuring transparency and clarity in all our transactions.

At RSL, we value your satisfaction, which is why we offer a 30-Day In-Home Trial Period on most of our products. This allows you to experience our speakers and equipment in your own space before making a final decision. The specifics of this trial, including eligibility criteria, shipping policies, and return procedures, are detailed in our Refund Policy section. Please note that terms vary for international customers and orders over $1500.  We are proud to provide free standard shipping for all orders in the contiguous US, though this option does not include insurance. For added peace of mind, we offer optional shipping protection for a small additional fee.

We believe in making our policies straightforward and customer-friendly. This extends to returns and exchanges, which are designed to be as simple and fair as possible. For more information, again, see the Refund Policy.

Additionally, our warranty coverage is in place to ensure that our products function as intended, free from manufacturer defects. We also outline important exclusions and steps for making a warranty claim in our Warranty Terms.

For customers purchasing receiver bundles, we offer specific terms on trial eligibility, return conditions, and limited support coverage. Refer to the section for full details.

30-Day In-Home Trial Period

Eligibility: Applies to all RSL-branded products on orders up to $1500 USD (varies by market, excluding sales tax)

  • Start Date: The 30-day trial begins on the delivery date.
    • Shipping Costs: Please note our standard shipping does not include insurance.
  • Contiguous U.S. Customers: Free outbound and return shipping.
    • International Customers: Responsible for return shipping and associated import costs; outbound shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Returns:
    • Items returned in like-new condition qualify for a full refund, with the exception of certain fees for Speedwoofers and wireless transmitters (outlined below).
    • Only one trial period is allowed per customer unless otherwise specified in writing by RSL staff.
  • Exchanges:
    • Subject to trial terms; once an exchange is completed, the trial period is considered fulfilled. Exchanged items do not include a new trial period unless otherwise stated by RSL.
  • Order Cancellations:
    • Canceled orders do not qualify as trials.
    • Orders returned due to incorrect addresses or failure to receive delivery are not eligible for trial terms.

Return and Refund Terms Under the Trial Period

  • Return Requests: Must be made within 30 days of delivery via phone or email.
  • Authorization: RSL will issue a return authorization email with a prepaid return label and instructions.
  • Timely Returns: The purchaser must complete the return within 7 days of receiving the authorization email. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure correct email receipt. ( CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER)
  • Item Condition:
    • Items must be returned in like-new condition.
    • Blemished or damaged items may incur a restocking fee of up to 25% or may not be eligible for return at all. Excessively damaged items will be returned to the purchaser at their cost, including round-trip shipping.
    • Packaging Requirements:
    • Items must be correctly packed as instructed in the return authorization email.
    • Shipping damage due to improper packaging is the purchaser’s responsibility and may incur fees or void eligibility for return.
    • Multiple-Box Orders: All items and boxes in multi-box orders must be returned together. Separate returns may result in additional charges.
  • Refunds:
    • Issued after inspection to the original payment method.
    • Confirmation email provided upon refund issuance. Refund times vary based on the financial institution. (RSL TYPICALLY PROCESSES REFUNDS WITHIN THREE TO FIVE BUSINESS DAYS)

RSL Warranty Overview

  • Coverage Periods (unless otherwise specified):
    • Transducers, crossovers, and enclosures: 5-year warranty.
    • Amplifiers and wireless devices: 2-year warranty.
    • Scope of Coverage:
RSL guarantees its products are free from manufacturer defects and will function as intended.
  • Exclusions:
    • Improper Use & Mishandling: The warranty does not cover damage due to mishandling, abuse, improper use, or usage outside of home applications. Such uses void the warranty.
    • Environmental Exposure: Damage due to exposure to water, moisture, or other outdoor elements is not covered.
  • Intended Use: RSL speakers are designed for home use.  Use in outdoor, commercial, or vehicle applications is not covered and will void the warranty.
  • Disassembly: Opening or disassembling speakers without prior authorization voids the warranty.

 Eligibility:

  • The Warranty is not transferable.
  • Only RSL customers who purchased the product from RSL are eligible to make warranty claims.
  • Warranty claims require the original purchaser’s name and order number.
  • All RSL-branded items purchased directly from RSL include the full warranty.
  • Items bought second-hand or from third-party retailers are not covered.
  • Warranty claims made relating to damage occurring during transit, or shipping, may be excluded from warranty coverage  Premium Protect provides coverage for damage resulting during shipping.

Warranty Claim Procedure

Initiating a Claim:
 Contact RSL via email or phone, providing the purchaser's name and order number.  All our warranty parts are designed for easy replacement by the customer.

  • Claims within 30 Days of Delivery:
    • RSL will provide an in-home, customer-serviceable replacement part or an item exchange at no cost, including shipping.
  • Claims After 30 Days but Within Warranty Period:
    • RSL may repair or replace the item.
    • The purchaser covers shipping costs for replacement parts or items sent to RSL for service.
    • If the item is repaired under warranty, RSL covers the cost of return shipping within the contiguous 48 states.
  • Replacement Parts:
    • If a replacement part is sent for home installation, the purchaser covers shipping costs. RSL may provide a pre-paid return label for the non-functional part. In-home installations do not void the warranty.

Service at RSL's Repair Facility:

  • The owner is responsible for shipping the item safely to RSL, including proper packing and insurance coverage for loss or damage during transit.
  • If damage is found upon receipt, RSL will document it with photos and inform the owner, who may need to file a claim with their freight carrier.

Service & Repair Findings:

  • If an item fails due to misuse, mishandling, exposure, or unauthorized disassembly, the warranty will be voided.
  • RSL will notify the owner of the findings. Repairs can proceed at the owner’s expense, including round-trip shipping costs.

Service Outside of Warranty Period:

  • Owners cover the cost of repairs and return shipping. RSL will provide a repair quote in advance for approval.
  • Non-warranty repairs are kept as cost-effective as possible.

Additional Terms for AVR - Receivers (US Residents)

  • Receiver Bundles: The 30-day trial applies only to RSL branded products, not receivers or other non-RSL equipment.
  • Return Conditions for Receivers:
    • Must be in like-new condition or unopened for a refund, less original shipping and a restocking fee.
  • A restocking fee of up to 25% will be assessed on all returned receivers at the discretion of RSL.

Damaged, Lost Items, and After-Ship Care

We are pleased to offer free shipping within the contiguous US with limited free shipping in our Australia market.(*SEE SUMMARY AT BOTTOM OF PAGE) 

Please note: Insurance is not included with our shipments. RSL now offers Premium Protect shipping protection for purchase with every order which can be added at in your cart--varies by market.

Please remember: Premium Protect is only available in select markets.  If the option is not shown in your cart, Premium Protect is not yet available in your market.

  • RSL’s premium shipping protection is now being offered as a faster and more streamlined claims process than ever offered before. RSL’s premium shipping protection handles shipping damage, shipping loss, and theft claims faster than before, and with fewer stipulations and exclusions.
  • RSL’s premium shipping protection covers damage to an order caused by the shipping carrier, and/or loss of an order caused by the shipping carrier. It also covers theft such as porch piracy for a period of eight (8) hours after delivery (a police report will be required).
  • Opting out of RSL’s premium shipping protection means you are assuming all risk for items that are lost or damaged during transit, or stolen after delivery.
  • It is strongly recommended to purchase RSL’s premium shipping protection to ensure your new RSL investment is covered.

Shipping damage: With purchase of RSL’s Premium Protect, damage claims are eligible for purchase price reductions or replacement orders. Shipping damage is not covered if RSL’s premium shipping protection is not purchased.

  • Please be sure to inspect all items at the time of delivery, to ensure they are delivered damage free.
  • Shipping damage must be reported to RSL via phone or email, within seven (7) days of delivery.
  • RSL will require pictures of the item’s outer shipping box and inner packaging, as well as pictures of the damage to the item itself.
  • Damage reported more than 7 days after the date of delivery may not eligible for refund or replacement.
  • Based on the extent of the damage reported, RSL will offer either a reduction of the purchase price of the item (in the form of a partial refund), or a replacement of the damaged item.
  • Replacement orders will be of equal or greater value than the original order.
    • An order for a factory new item will be replaced with an identical factory new item.
    • An order for an open-box item will be replaced with an open-box item of comparable condition. If such an item is not available, the order will be upgraded to the same item of a higher condition classification.
    • If an item is replaced, RSL will require the original item to be returned to RSL at RSL’s cost. The purchaser is required to complete the return of the damaged item within 7 days of receipt of RSL's return authorization email.
    • RSL will provide a pre-paid RMA return shipping label to the purchaser via email, along with the steps for return.
    • It is the purchaser's responsibility to verifying the correct email address has been provided to RSL and to check spam folders to ensure the email was not automatically removed by the purchaser's email client.
    • Price reductions will be offered via a partial refund against the initial purchase price.
    • RSL will offer a reduction of the purchase price if the damage to the unit is deemed to be cosmetic only.
    • The amount of refund offered will be based on the condition of the item.
    • RSL believes price reductions should be generous and account for not only the damage but also the inconvenience caused. RSL aims to provide an exemplary experience for all RSL customers.
    • Partial refunds will be processed to the original method of payment, and cannot be processed to a different type of payment.
    • The damaged item will maintain RSL’s full warranty.
    • If RSL deems the damage to be more than cosmetic, and a potential risk to the item’s performance, a partial refund will not be offered, and a replacement item will be required.
  • If you opt out of RSL’s premium shipping protection means you are assuming all risk for items that are damaged during transit. The shipping carrier may offer little or no coverage or reimbursement for these occurrences. It is strongly recommended to purchase RSL’s premium shipping protection to ensure your new RSL investment is covered.
  • Shipping Loss: With purchase of RSL’s premium shipping protection, lost item claims are eligible for replacement. Shipping loss is not covered if RSL’s premium shipping protection is not purchased.
  • With purchase of RSL’s premium shipping protection, orders lost in transit are eligible for a replacement.
  • Items lost in transit need to be reported to RSL Speakers within 72 hours of the date of estimated delivery.
  • Once a lost order is reported to RSL, RSL will require up to 5 business days to attempt to have the shipping carrier locate and recover the item for delivery.
  • If the order cannot be recovered by the shipping carrier, RSL will replace the order for you.
  • Replacement items will be of the same condition and value or a refund in full will be provided. If an exact replacement is not available, RSL may also offer an upgrade to an item of greater value or condition.

The shipping carrier may offer little or no coverage or reimbursement for these occurrences. It is strongly recommended to purchase RSL’s premium shipping protection to ensure your new RSL investment is covered.
 
Order Theft: With purchase of RSL’s premium shipping protection, theft of an order after delivery (porch piracy) is covered.
 
Theft of an order after delivery, such as porch piracy, is covered for a period of 8 hours after order delivery has taken place. The time of delivery will be determined by the information provided directly from the shipping carrier.

  • RSL may require video/doorbell camera footage of the theft taking place.
  • RSL may require pictures of the delivery location where the theft occurred.
  • If a theft claim is made, RSL will require that a police report is filed. RSL will require copies of the police report documentation.
  • If piracy is likely or a frequent occurrence in your neighborhood, we recommend selecting an alternate destination for delivery.
  • If you opt out of RSL’s premium shipping protection means you are assuming all risk for items that are stolen after delivery. The shipping carrier will offer no coverage or reimbursement for these occurrences. It is strongly recommended to purchase RSL’s premium shipping protection to ensure your new RSL investment is covered.

Cancellation policy

Orders canceled prior to shipping are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.

RSL will withhold a 3.5% processing fee from the refund unless otherwise stated in writing by RSL staff.

RSL does not guarantee the ability to cancel an order prior to shipping.

RSL will always attempt to accommodate order cancellation requests prior to shipping, but cannot guarantee this. The ability to cancel an order largely depends on when the request to cancel is made in relation to the time the order was placed.
RSL processes and ships orders very quickly. Shipping may occur the same day the order is placed. In some cases an order may be filled within hours or even minutes from the time the order is placed. It is the purchaser's responsibility to be mindful of this and consider this carefully before placing an order.
When an item ships, a shipping confirmation email with tracking information will be automatically sent to the email address submitted with the order. This is an indication the order has left RSL’s facility and will no longer be able to be canceled prior to shipping. RSL is not responsible if the shipping confirmation email is missed by mistake, due to spam filters, or an incorrect email address being submitted with order.

Orders canceled after shipping has taken place will be subject to round-trip shipping costs and restocking fees.

Orders canceled after shipping are subject to the following:

Round-trip shipping charges. Per all freight carriers, orders cannot be stopped once in transit. They must complete their journey to the destination shipping hub where they may be sorted and then routed back to RSL. In some cases, the items may still be delivered to the purchaser. In either case, round-trip shipping charges will apply with no exceptions. The purchaser is responsible for these round-trip shipping costs in full.

Restocking fees. RSL must open all returned items (new or used) for inspection, testing, and reconditioning. New packaging must be provided, and the items must be placed in RSL's outlet store at a reduced price. The purchaser is responsible for these costs in their entirety.

All charges and costs incurred by RSL due to cancellation after shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser and will be withheld from the refund issued. By placing an order with RSL, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please order carefully as cancellation after shipping is an occurrence we would like to avoid at all costs.

Order cancellations are not eligible for the terms and conditions of RSL's 30 day in-home trial period.

RSL's trial period is to provide purchasers with the ability to audition RSL Speakers with absolute peace of mind. RSL's trial does not apply to orders canceled either before or after shipping.

Request for order cancellation voids RSL's 30 day in-home trial period.

When an order is requested to be canceled, it is understood and agreed that no audition or “trial” will take place. As such, the terms and conditions of RSL's 30 -day trial period are voided.

Attempts to subvert RSL's cancellation policy by opening and then repacking a canceled order that has shipped and delivered, will not be accepted. The 30-day trial period will remain voided and round-trip shipping charges and restocking fees will apply. These charges will be withheld from any refund issued. By placing an order with RSL, you agree to these terms and conditions.
