I decided to take a chance on a CG23M as a center channel to replace a much more costly, but older, Revel. The Revel sounded almost like it had a blanket over it. Not crisp, and voices were difficult to understand. Something had to be done. But how could a $138 RSL speaker come close to a $750 Revel? Well, it didn't just come close... it beat the Revel in every way. Crisp, tight, clear voices. Dialog is understandable now. No more fatigue and having to rewind scenes to be able to figure out what someone said. This CG23M is fantastic. And it timbre matches surprisingly well with my Klipsch Forte speakers. I was seriously blown away with how good this sounds as a center channel speaker. I have never heard a better one. Don't just consider a CG23M for a center channel speaker... order one right now. You will not be sorry.

Now I will order a pair of them and the new 10E Speedwoofer (I own two 10S II now) for a 2 channel bedroom system powered by their incredible little class D amp. RSL is an awesome company, with great products and excellent customer service. Prices are insanely low and quality is off the charts. Sitting here in my living room listening to a pair of these and a Speedwoofer 10s MK2 absolutely stunning me while playing Puscifer (and everything else I throw at them). I'm not sure you could do better for a 2.1 stereo setup without spending at least $2k, rather than the $750 this system cost me. The soundstage, clarity of vocals, and the seamless interaction between speakers and subwoofers are all too notch.

And as the LCR in my 5.1.4 system, they're equally fantastic. Dialog is crystal clear.

Two caveats: (1) I'm coming from a non EQ'd Sonos Arc and Sub (thanks Sonos, for not supporting Android); and (2) I'm driving this system with the Onkyo TX-NR7100 and have Dirac Live room correction applied. Dirac is doing a *ton* in my completely ridiculous "theater" I've carved out of an 18x20 "great room". Still, Dirac can't do anything other than make the speakers sound "as intended," so I promise that if you're unsatisfied with these speakers, either you got a defective speaker, or your speaker placement/room configuration is ruining them.

Makes me curious about how the 5 series sounds...
