I am writing a review to give my strongest possible recommendation of not just the speakers I got from RSL, but also of the RSL company itself. I was almost shocked by how well I was treated leading up to my purchase of a Speedwoofer and a set of CG23 speakers. I virtually never take time to do porduct reviews, but my speakers and the experience of buying them were both so excellent I wanted to leave a reveiw, hoping others would be able to similarly benefit from RLS.

I have been an amatuer audiphile for nearly 50 years. For years I had Large Advent speakers that unfortunately fell victit to a house fire 20 + years ago. Even more unfortunately the idea of replacing my large speakers fell victim to an interior decorator who thought a Bose system would be a better fit with her decorating scheme. She may have been right about the samll speakers fitting her decorating scheme, but the sound was not remotely the same as waht I had been used to.

I have just retired. In advance of my retirement I began to investigate upgreading my speaker system, wanting to once again have some good speakers with which to listen to my music, something I intended on having more time for in retirement. I did buy the speakers as a pre-retirement gift for myself, but did not get around to writing this reveiew till sometime after my retirement. I have had the speakers for about a year now, so have had plenty of time to develop buyer's remorse, but instead I am just as happy, if not more happy with them today as I was the day I took them out of the box.

My first though regarding an upgrade to my old system was to add some sort of bass module (RSL Speedwoofer or other brand of bass module) to my pre-existing Bose system, tuck the bass module away in some hidden part of the room and let my wife keep the smaller Bose speakers so as to not upset the decoration thing.

This was acutally a quite stupid idea, but I am going to the trouble of mentioning it to point out that when I wrote an email to RSL regarding the possibilibty of doing this, my question was anwered by none other than Joe Rodgers, the owner of the company. Not only did he NOT tell me it was a stupid idea, he resonded helpfully and respectfully.

Hence, my first pleasant surprise with the company was the the owner of the company actually took time to respectfully address my stupid question. And then he also responded (promptly) by email to about four other questions I had, guiding me through the decision making process toward my eventual purchase.

My second shocking but quite pleasant surprise was that at three different steps in the process of me trying to decide what I was going to do, Joe was not like a "typical" salesperson in trying to talk me into buying something that he was trying to push on me. In fact at those three steps in the process he sugested that I might be quite content with a less expensive purchase than what I was suggesting.

If there is another company/owner like that, they are certainly in a tiny minority.

Hence, my recommendation for the company/Joe Rodgers could not possibly be stronger.

But, of course, ultimately what I wanted was a good speaker system--and that is what I got.

One of the positive reviews that I read was written by a person who purchased TWO Speedwoofers to get the amount of bass they wanted. The room I listen to music in is quite large--15 ft X 30 ft X 10 ft, so I thought maybe I, also, would need two Speedwoofers to generate enough power for the bass I wanted in the context of that large space (in retrospect another dumb idea of mine). Joe suggested I start with one Speedwofer and if for some reason I thought I needed more bass I could add another one later. There is no way in creation I would need an additional bass module. And if I did add another one I wonder if my neighbors windows might rattle. If I turn the volume on the Speewoofer above 3, I have more bass than I want. And that bass is excellent in quality--just read the unanimously positive reviews about the Speedwoofer.

I also bought two CG 23's and am VERY happy with them. The music sounds wonderful. As other reviewers have said, and as Joe claimed would be the case, I hear the music, not the speakers. I regularly find myself noticing things in the music that I had not heard before--some of this is music that I have listened to for 50 years (the music is not new to me, its just that the excellent speakers are allowing me to hear things in it that I had not heard before).

So this review may be a bit lengthy, but a short review would not have done justice to how very happy I am that I have had the good fortune of being the recipient of Joe Rodger's help in purchasing my Speedwoofer and CG 23's. I doubt there is any other speaker manufacturer on the planet from which I would have gotten the serice that I did from RSL. And I am also very thankful that I have been the benefactor of his audiophile and engineering expertise as it regards the quality fo the speakers I purchased. I have never enjoyed listening to music more than I do now.

(And my wife does not at all mind the bigger speakers. She also is enjoying hearing things in her music that she had never heard before.)

Thanks, Joe and RSL

Will start by saying that these guys at RSL are the nicest people you could ever deal with. The whole experience was first class. Okay , on to the new sub . Took a while for me to dial it in on my amp but once i did, i felt like i was in audio heaven.I can’t wait until they do another speaker. Would love to see them do a floor stander. I’m currently using some Tekton monitors. I feel like the RSL sub has super charged my speakers. Thanks again RSL for the great sub, as well as the great customer service. Will be doing business again in the future.

I am located in Canada, so hopefully my review will help potential customers north of the border. There will be two parts to my review: the order process and the Speedwoofers themselves. Order process: First, email correspondence with Joe was fast, professional and exceptionally detailed. In particular, when I asked about shipping costs, I was given an outstanding explanation of how shipping is calculated along with estimates for my address. Second, I was asked to choose how many Speedwoofers I wanted to order (2), the color (black), and whether or not I wanted the wifi modules (no). Third, I was promptly sent an invoice via email to complete the order. My order was placed in the summer (June or July) and I received the Speedwoofers via FedEx in October. I was able to pay the customs fees online via an emailed link from FedEx. The shipping time from California to Nova-Scotia was exceptionally fast (less than a week). The SW10s were double boxed and undamaged. Speedwoofers: First, some background information. I had previously been using a Paradigm PW2200 v1 (12", class AB, very large sub) as well as an SVS SB1000 (non pro, 12", sealed, class D). So these are my points of comparison. I listen in a 2.2 channel system (FL, FR, 2 subwoofers in a stereo configuration). My towers are Paradigm Studio 80 v1. I do not use high and low pass, but use the subwoofers as "bass enhancement" with the towers in full range. Out of the box, I was not impressed with the SW10s. They sounded boomy, boxy, and lacked the warmth and tone of my older Paradigm sub. After a week of experimentation, I contacted Joe to voice my concerns and we shared some back-and-forth as to how I could resolve the issues. Long story short, I was able to isolate the problems. First, in my room, the SW10s had to be placed on the outsides of each of the towers (away from the sidewalls and corners) and toed in slightly (about 30 degrees) towards the listening position. Second, the phase had to be set at 180 degrees, which was completely opposite from both the Paradigm and SVS subs which were both at 0 degrees. Finally, these subs really just needed some break-in time. Once properly set up I was very impressed with the subs. They are fast, powerful, tight, and dynamic. They blend exceptionally well with my towers (better than both the Paradigm and SVS subs) and move a lot of air for 10 inch drivers. The best thing about these subs in my opinion is they do not have to be set loud to create the low end presence I strive for. In my case, I have each set to about 9 o'clock each for volume with the crossovers at about 100hz. When people ask me to describe how the subs perform, I tell them they sound like a very well-tuned car audio subwoofer system; i.e. fun to listen to. Finally, I would like to add that the most important part of this entire experience for me was the personalized service I received from Joe and RSL. I really wish other brands would learn from this business model to improve their service. Thanks again Joe!

I want to thank Joe Rodgers, when it comes to knowledge, understanding, service and with the great customer service skills, I greatly appreciate this lost art in today's world . I own NSD SB 12 SVS I bought 3 years ago. It's been a great subwoofer, I mainly use it for music, I am a Music Person 80% of the time , I do occasionally watch movies. I talked to Joe Rodgers 3 years ago and ask him is RSL speedwoofer 10s a better Sub then SVS NSD sb 12 enclosed. He responded there both good subs and I couldn't go wrong either way. He explain that the RSL is a great musical sub first and wonderful home theater sub as well . I already purchased SVS at the time and was on a 30 day trial with SVS and loved it . I always wanted to get the RSL and just couldn't pull the plug do to this was a want and not a need . After 3 years I decided it's time but due to covid it set me back from getting right away , I had to wait due to parts on container ships. I finally received the Sub, I have 2 systems in my home, one is for all my albums,CD's and other for my home theater . I set up my RSL and knew right away that RSL was the true winner for my music needs, definitely was by far a upgrade to my system. I have Klipsch reference series R-51M towers. I listen to all era of jazz from 1920 to today and all kinds of good music. This sub totally blends in well and intensify the richness of sound accuracy. My SVS is now part of my home theater system and is great sub but RSL, I can not say enough about the accuracy and stellar punch, I was not looking for loud, but looking for precise accuracy of instrumental results . Thank you... Joe Rodgers for making this happen for ordinary American people. Bringing quality, affordability that we can have and achieve. Brent

Just received the latest Speedwoofer 10s from RSL and I’m very impressed. It mates exceptionally well with my Omega 3xrs speakers and adds the foundation I wanted , without interfering with the midrange and treble. The Omegas are exceptionally fast and the Speedwoofer is equal to the task. I had demoed a Rel 7x but that was only used for a couple hours with a set amp (different than the Belles amp/preamp combo used for the RSL) which doesn’t make a fair head to head comparison. I do think the value is outstanding for the speedwoofer 10s, to say I like it is an understatement .

Simply amazing. I am really enjoying my Speedwoofer 10s. I using bothe the LFE and speaker level connections simultaneously. Most subs in this price range don’t even offer speaker level connections and if they do, most I’ve seen make you select one of the options. Just a single Speedwoofer provides all the bass I need for both home theater and 2 channel music listening. I would describe this sub as clear, punchy, and very musical.

Simply amazing. I purchased a single Speedwoofer 10s a few months ago and Am very happy with my purchase. I am using the speaker level and LFE connections simultaneously in my setup which is not a very common feature in subwoofers at this price range. Most I’ve seen with speaker level connections make you select either option when setting up a sub. One Speedwoofer 10s is all I need to enjoy both my home theater and 2-channel music from the same setup, which includes CG5’s and CG25 center.

After months of studying subwoofers, my search is over. I ordered a Speedwoofer 10S on August 29th, and after a long voyage, it arrived on my doorstep on Halloween. It integrated seamlessly with my simple stereo amplifier (no Audyssey required), and it smoothly picked up where my B&W 685 S2's roll off. I plan to make more fine adjustments, but the Speedwoofer sounded great out of the box. I wasn't impressed with the PB-2000 Pro (despite a lot of tweaking), and even less so at the idea of spending even more, only to get just a bit more extension and output (not to mention placing a much larger and heavier unit). The Speedwoofer is almost too small to be this powerful, and in my opinion, its price is almost too low for it to sound this good.

RSL customer service is also top-notch. The Speedwoofer is shipped double-boxed, but the domestic shipping carrier managed to puncture both layers and put a good scratch in the side of my unit. Right away, RSL had a new one prepped for delivery. I didn't need to wait for another one from overseas, nor did I have to go without while I waited to the replacement to arrive. RSL recommended that I audition the one I had, then to send it back (with prepaid shipping label!) after I had the replacement. Thanks, Andrew!

Not only does my Speedwoofer 10S sound great, RSL's care in making things right has completely exceeded my expectations.

I have been shopping for new subs like a madman for the last year it seems. I even purchased a Monolith 10" by Monoprice as an open box item on Amazon. It was amazing, but not even close to as hard-punching and fast this RSL Speedwoofer is. So far (after the insane L.A./China shipping fiasco) I've had this for about two whole days now and I can't stop listening. The musical quality is amazing and movies don't just rumble, you are literally pressurized with Bass that gives every epic bwaaaa a whole new meaning. Instead of laughing at how overused they are, the bwaaaas are something to look forward to now. I'm so amazed with this sub. It's just gut-wrenchingly loud. I ran Audyssey and just the bass test signal had me excited. Also, Audyssey thought it was a little loud and at half Gain volume, Audyssey adjusted the sub-signal -6dB. What?! I turned it back up to 0dB and then rolled the gain back to about 40% and now I'm in the zone. Thank you guys! Soooo worth the wait! It's like a drug. Now I want a 2nd one.

I didn't see a way to edit my first review that I did a week or two in. I've now had mine for - hm - coming up on a half year, maybe?? I didn't look. This thing has to be the best subwoofer deal on the planet. What hooked me originally was the review in the NYT - a crazy place to get told about a sub. Did the rest of the reviews available. They all say it's as good as other subs at twice the price, so get two. Maybe that should be, but I contimue to be awed by this single (after reading and watching ALL the sub placement vids it ended up directly under the center front and you can't tell that's where it is with your eyes closed) - I have a surround of the Canadian brand with towers in the front, and I'll never get rid of 'em, they're phenomenal, but the big Canadian sub (now out of production) doesn't hold a candle to this thing. Whether I'm playing the P3/Dynavector, the Oppo, or simply streaming 5-channel for boom-boom flicks, the thing is just fabulous. If I'd known about their speakers when I got the Canadian ones, I would have tried them. AND the company does what it says it's going to do, period. Superb equipment, great prices, superb service. Can't ask for more.

Finally got my Speedwoofer .

Got it hooked up to my Harman Kardon 3500 via the subwoofer output ( RCA patch cord ).

I have JBL LX500 for my main speakers . LX500's are very good old-school 3-way speakers .

I have the Speedwoofer set to internal crossover so it just takes care of the deep bass.

I LOVE IT. It really adds a new dimension to the music and movies I play .

The Speedwoofer is really non-directional and room filling . You cannot tell where the sound is coming from whether I'm playing music and movies . At low volume ( playing movies late at night ) , I love the full sound .

The enclosure is really solid . I hear no port or enclosure noise . And the bass is not colored . It's tight and clean.

I had owned some full range T??t??s that displeased me (I must be very choosy according to them.). I shopped around for a product that would both fit within my space and give me great surround sound. (I'm getting to your product, give me a moment.) These replacements were set of smaller Ohms (another direct seller). The problem (It always is!) was non-formidable bass. I expected that and since I am an A/V guy an unacceptable situation.

Audioholics had done a review and I was convinced that with your return policy I could not go wrong in a purchase.

This proved true but though it's a mighty device, its bandwidth wasn't catching the RARE lower notes. So I purchased another unit from a competitor to whack the upper teens and lower twenties knowing that its speed was lesser but I was looking for thunder not definition from that unit.

This works great (to me) in my small room but the Speedwoofer is the lead and it sits front and center.

I am greatly pleased and smug.

Now do your due diligence and do make this purchase. These are great and so is this company.

I have used this sub with my B & W 703s for a year or so now and I am very impressed. I have also used the sub with Maggie LRSs and Monitor Audio Sliver 10s with very good results. Detail and definition are amazing for a sub at this price and better than a number of higher cost options I have auditioned. I use the sub in our sunroom with the 703s since this is where I do most of my listening and also, for watching movies. The sub does not make its existence known with music that has no low bass content. When something deep enough comes along the sub produces that bass with great definition and clarity. String bass on jazz cuts sounds really fine. The sub, when properly adjusted, doesn't make the string bass notes sound bloated and fat. One final comment. If a company produces a product that costs thousands and sound good I am not impressed. RSL has produced a product that sounds really good at a cost the average person can afford. That's a much more difficult task to accomplish. Thanks RSL!

I’ll start this short review by saying I’m seriously impressed with the performance at this price point and well beyond. The Speedwoofer is in my 2.1 living room system and used exclusively for streaming movies/music, and it provides such detailed, powerful, room filling bass down to its tuning point that I’m truly impressed . I ordered at the end of 2020, and received it in March 2021. The long wait due to Covid related delays was unexpectedly rewarded with an extra year warranty and a $100 off coupon for future purchases, how awesome is that?!

For reference and listening comparisons in my dedicated media room, I have multiple subwoofers with pro audio drivers that cost 10 times as much as a single Speedwoofer. With music, the Speedwoofer honestly sounds as good as any sub I’ve heard or built…which is insane considering the price and the amount of subs I’ve experienced over the years. If you’re on the fence about which sub to buy between all the major ID brands or even retail stores, nothing touches the Speedwoofer for music at even double its price (seriously buy two Speedwoofers instead).

You’ll notice I didn’t discuss LFE and movie content, but I didn’t purchase it with expectations or needs for reference level playback. It fills in movie effects admirably and without any hint of port noise, just don’t expect earth shaking bass below 25-30Hz, as the response drops off fairly fast by this point, especially in a large room. That said, the quality of the bass produced never falters. So here’s yet another strong recommendation for the Speedwoofer from this guy!

After about 6 years with a Dayton Audio Sub-1200 I felt that my large room just needed something with more impact to really bring things out in movies. After hearing about the RSL Speedwoofer 10s on an HT Group I belonged to I started doing some research. In the running for this upgrade were the RSL Speedwoofer 10s, Monoprice Monolith 10 inch, SVS PB1000, Rythmik LV12F and the HSU Research VTF2-MK5. I quickly narrowed it down to the Speedwoofer and the HSU VTF2-MK5 as being the best values for the money as I felt comfortable compromising the deep bass at the $399 price point, but didn't feel comfortable with the compromises that the SVS and Monolith offered in the mid-bass range while being within $100 of the HSU Research VTF2 MK5 after taxes. The Rythmik LV12F had some complaints about port noise/resonance issues and once again at $600 I saw little point in compromising when the HSU was within $50 in price. Although the VTF2-MK5 by all accounts is a better performer in all respects the Speedwoofer 10s won out for 3 reasons: 1) Compact Footprint. I'd already had issues with kids tripping over my Dayton Audio SUB-1200 and the idea of having a solid performer fitting in less than a 17 inch cube was very appealing to me as it fits perfectly against my furniture and doesn't stick out. 2) The $399 price point made it a more affordable choice and was definitely easier to convince my wife than the $643 shipped pricetag of the HSU Research VTF2-MK5. 3) The 30 day return policy essentially made it so I could try out the RSL Speedwoofer 10s and recover every penny of my money if I wasn't satisfied. Conversely if it turned out that the HSU Research VTF2-MK5 didn't live up to my expectations/all the hype I have heard about them, I would recover the value of the subwoofer itself but would end up eating over $160 in shipping costs (cost of shipping it to me and cost of shipping it back to HSU since shipping costs are separate). It also put me in the potential position where I could compare firsthand the RSL and the HSU without having to ultimately be stuck with the purchase price of both.

After giving the Speedwoofer 10s a chance to break in I can definitely say this thing moves and it's mid bass output for such a compact footprint and price point is amazing. My Speedwoofer easily outperforms my Dayton Audio SUB-1200 in the mid bass range and keeping in mind I have my gain just a hair shy of 50% on my Speedwoofer 10s and run about 90% gain on my Dayton Audio SUB-1200 to get it sounding good. Admittedly the 12 inch Dayton Audio does have a hair more response in the deep bass range being a 12 inch sub that is cranked nearly to the max, but I have to be within a few feet of the sub to even notice it. Strangely enough I am currently running the Dayton Audio SUB-1200 and the Speedwoofer 10s as dual mismatched subs which although many frown on has proven valuable in the comparison department and due to the neutral nature of RSL products the two actually blend together fairly well even though the Speedwoofer generally outperforms the Dayton Audio, the Dayton Audio still is able to make it's presence known due to it's location away from the Speedwoofer. It should be noted that my HT is in a large open area that measures 31.5 feet long x 17.5 feet wide and has 11 foot vaulted ceilings so filling this space is a challenge.

I do feel that the Speedwoofer 10s would be more complete if it offered more in the deep bass area for HT applications, but understand the compromises made due to the subwoofer size and price point. Above 20 HZ though it performs beautifully and hits hard and accurate. It is well suited for music that demands accuracy (ie multiple bass drum punches in quick succession) and certainly outperforms my Dayton Audio which has all the grace an accuracy of a poor old lady falling down the stairs by comparison.

Bottom line if RSL ever made a 12 inch version of this sub in the $500-$600 range I would be very scared if I were running SVS, HSU Research or Rythmik. For those who are interested they can see my review with the sub in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojdU0pefzmY

I bought the Speedwoofer because my system's subwoofer blew up. I did some research and it was quality at a good price and wow what a difference great sounding bass and the set up instructions are spot on my Denon AVR1706 circa 2005 never sounded better it sounded so good I bought a pair CG 5's "blemish sale" though I still can't find the blemish. I put the cg 5's as front speakers, crystal clear amazing sound, and my old m&k speakers as rear surround speakers, now I have 7.1 surround system that sounds like a brand new stereo! I mainly use it for music listening and everything sounds amazing it's like hearing great songs for the first time again. I'm enjoying the heck out it. Words don't do these speakers justice just listen to the music: classic rock, classical, jazz, jazz fusion? It doesn't matter it all sounds amazing. What a find!

I have received my Speedwoofer 10S just ten days ago after a long wait, but it was totally worth waiting. I tested it by connecting it to my TV soundbar as well as with my integrated amplifier for stereo listening. It's an amazing subwoofer. I do not think I will enjoy watching TV or listening to music without it. My wife has already told me I could order another one (in the future). I love the wireless transmitter option; I am glad I purchased it. I am going to keep the subwoofer. At the end, I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for subwoofer. You will not regret it. And I believe you will probably be adding a second one in the future. Thank you for such a high-quality affordable subwoofer

Obviously, the last thing you need right now is yet another rave review, but yet here it is.

I have what I think is a reasonably capable system - Marantz 5015, PSB Imagine T2 front pair, and the Imagine center and bookshelves for the rear. I had a PSB HD10, and thought it was helpful until after a decade it developed a 60hz buzz all its own. That's when I started hunting, and for better or worse for you folks, NYT published that rave review. That led to hunting everything I could find on the Speedwoofer. FINALLY decided to push the button and lo, you're out of stock. What the heck, I'll plunk the $400 and wait.

Well, here it is for the past week or so. I've had to fiddle because Audyssey over-and under-estimates a lot in this crazy room. Audyssey set the sub at -12db, which is too much for 2.1 off the P3 or the Oppo, and not quite enough for 5.1. I've read/listened/watched a bunch of the sub setup stuff, and truly now believe. Two feet makes an enormous difference. It now disappears and the bass either comes out of nowhere or right out of the front pair. Strange phenomenon.

I'm awed. The Speedwoofer is INFINITELY clearer than the old sub; I've heard from a few that there's a break-in period, but if there is I've not been able to notice. I cannot even begin to tell you how glad I am to have listened to the reviews and been patient. The Speedwoofer has added an entire dimension to the musicality of my recordings (and hd streaming music), and of course makes movies FAR more fun.

Thanks you guys and ladies. For everyone else, hope you can ante up a bunch of these things.

I bought an entire 5.1 system from RSL based on all the reviews I had read and all the positive PR. I was on a budget so I opted for the CG23s as L/C/R speakers and a pair of ceiling speakers for my rear L/R channel. Naturally the subwoofer was going to be the 10S given the value they represent. I got the wireless version and it works flawlessly. The sub has plenty of punch to rock the house! So much so that I have to turn the volume down so that we do not disturb the neighbors! It also does a great job as a 2.1 system for listening to music. The sub blends seamlessly with the CG23s to give me a full range for my music.

I don’t write reviews but felt compelled this time. It’s 2/14/2021..... I ordered my 1st speedwoofer on 5/5/2020 when production was slowed by the pandemic. In an act of blind faith I orders a 2nd unit 10days later having no 1st hand experience with them. I had some some email correspondence with Joe before my 1st purchase about picking up a b-stock to test the water, what a great business man, I wish some others would take notes on how this company operates.... kind, helpful and legitimately interested in the needs/wants of a potential customer. Skip to today... I’ve been using these woofers for a while now and I’m happy to report that they are phenomenal. I worried that a 10” woofer wouldn’t be enough for the large room they live in (16x36 with 9 foot ceilings), honestly, one would have worked great but I’m so happy to have the extra overhead with the pair. I’m a two channel guy and live for clean, accurate, punchy music. I really don’t think I could have made a better choice. The fact that I had such a great buying experience is just icing on the cake.

Full disclosure: since you are out of stock on Speedwoofers on your website I purchased a SVS SB-2000 last week for $500 and it arrived yesterday, I spent last night tuning and tweaking it and have it connected to the same receiver that my current Speedwoofer is connected to. I much prefer my Speedwoofer and I have now gone through the SVS, an Infinity R12 ,and a JBL 550P and the Speedwoofer outperformed them all for tight, punchy, full bass,. I am generally allergic to buzz and have read many of the articles of acclaim that your company and products have garnered, but I have a keen ear and your Speedwoofer is simply a fantastic component. Congratulations on creating a truly iconic product whose reputation is well-deserved.

Excellent subwoofer. Well worth the wait for the order backlog to clear. These things are fabulous. I bought two, plus one of the wireless transmitters. One Speedwoofer is probably enough for most people. Two takes it to a completely different level. Don't know why all the competitors cost so much more. If you are looking for a subwoofer under $1000, this is the one (or 2!) to get.

Wow... I bought 1 for my small (11' x 10.5') home theater room and was blown away by the quality. I immediately, upon hearing how good it was, ordered a second one for my room and I couldn't be happier. So crisp and clean but yet, chest and hair vibrating goodness. Don't even hesitate. Buy a couple... And yes, this is 100% a real review from a customer... very satisfied and will definitely buy more in the future

I would like to thank you for a quality woofer. I chose this because of the reviews and I’m so glad I did. I knew the sound I wanted but couldn’t explain it. My boyfriend freaked out when he hooked this up. Was surprised that I had made such a great decision. I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to return it. I had a budget at first but after I read the reviews I decided to buy it. I listened to a Sonos impressed but didn’t want to spend that amount of money. This to me is all that and more. I’m hard to please but it was a pleasure to purchase this. These reviews are real . Trust me.

Hopefully Covid-19 will be tamed in a few months or so, but now I probably won't leave my theatre room anyhow.

For the past 8 years I have been using 2 Bic F12's....because, they were cheap. For movies, they were adequate..for music, they were barely passable.

I remember quite well from my days in car and home audio sales and installation that systems I designed and install with 10 inch woofers always sounded cleaner than those with 12's. Those systems were just more accurate and had a more solid bass response rather than the ba-boom of using bigger woofers.

I just upgraded from my 30 year old MB Quart home speakers to some new Q Acoustics 3030i and a 3090i center...those 2 F12's really showed their shortcomings after that.

So based on many reviews and my experience with 10's I ordered a Speedwoofer 10s.

I got a "B" stock white one at a great price...it came in less than a week...packed super solid.

I can't find a blemish on it and it is just beautiful with the white Q Acoustics mains. And, its heavy and just exudes quality.

Now, my original intention was to get another in a month or two....no need. This thing is just remarkable.

Its fast, its clean...its unobtrusive. It even smells good.

Anyone having a doubt that a 10 cant run circles around a 12 need to give the Speedwoofer 10s a try.

I bought a CG23 5.1 package with a Denon x3700h from RSL. Their customer service is second to none and they spent time to help with setup tips for optimal performance. The speakers sound clear and clean, the piano gloss is fantastic, and the Speedwoofer performance was startling. Clean, rich, full bass with tons of power. I’m very happy with my setup, it is everything I was hoping for, so glad I went with RSL. I’m looking forward to adding another and making it a 5.2 when they get back in stock,

So I originally got a pair of SVS SB1000 for their trial run in the hopes that I can get in on the pre-order for the 10s during that window. Time was running out for the SVS but thankfully, RSL came through and sent me the two I ordered. Needless to say, as soon as I heard them, I immediately packed up the 2 SVS subs and never looked back. Holy Crap! A pair of these was everything I wanted in a sub. Punch and Rumble baby!

I recently acquired this subwoofer and have it paired with my Axiom M22 bookshelf speakers in a 2.1ch configuration for a 1000 cu. ft dedicated music only room. After I had everything dialed in and calibrated with my receiver and found the perfect location for my sub, I played some tunes consisting of Jazz, Rock and mainstream Pop. All I can say is this subwoofer truly delivers. Nice, tight, CLEAN bass with a LOT of chest punch, especially for music. I also tried it with movies and couldn't believe the LFE was coming from this 10 inch sub. In my small room, I measured output down to 18-19hz. In short, it has both the qualities of a sealed sub (tight and clean punch) combined with the power and authority of a ported HT sub. In my very small room, the output is more than I will ever need.

I've owned other subs from other prestigious and well known internet direct companies which I will not name here. These subs cost me almost twice as much as the Speedwoofer 10s and I can confidently say that none of them beat the Speedwoofer 10s at THIS price point. This is what you call value. Thank you RSL for making such an excellent product.

Also a special shout out to the AVS forum members for recommending this subwoofer to me.

I was looking to add a pair of subwoofers to my 2 channel setup. I spent a lot of time researching but you never know what you're getting until you actually hear it in your own room connected to your own system. I hate bloated, flabby, boomy bass and while I know the room plays a big role in the sound I can honestly say I'm blown away by the sound quality of the Speedwoofer. Turn it on and give the caps a bit to charge, play some tunes through it for a couple of hours to break it in and with careful placement and adjustment you'll be rewarded with deep, tight bass that blends very well with the rest of your system. Thanks Joe, I know I had a lot of questions leading up to actually buying something but I hate packing an item back up for return. No worries here though, the boxes have been thrown out!

I added a white speedwoofer to my Q acoustics 3050i 5.1.4 setup. My application is 70% movies and 30% music. This subwoofer really delivers. Tested this sub with test cd for different frequencies and surprisingly it had significant response down to 18Hz. This is very helpful in movies like Underground 6 on Netflix. This have very tight performance which is very helpful in music. All in all I felt the subwoofer had traits of sealed box as well as ported box. Overall this sub Integrates really well with my Q Acoustics setup and serving my medium sized room well for movies and music.

RSL team,

I paired the RSL Speedwoofer 10s with some Q Acoustics (sorry, they fit the decor) 3020i and 3090ci speakers and am completely blown away with this subwoofer. I needed a relatively small woofer and wanted deep range and the Speedwoofer exceeds my expectations in all areas. It is transparent in music and a force to be reckoned with during movies. I love the precision and musicality of this sub. Well done!

Equipment: NAD 3020v2 Hybrid Amp, ELAC Uni-Fi UB5 (pair)

Room Size: 15' x 12'

Sub Settings: Onboard Crossover @100hz, Volume 20%

Habits: 85% music, 15% movies

Other sub owned: Hsu Research VTF-2 MK5, ELAC 3030, ELAC S10EQ, Polk PSW505

I knew I was in trouble when I plugged in a live LFE line into the sub (thought it was off) and scared the s**t out of me at 50% volume. The ELAC Uni-Fi pair sound good on their own but still need reinforcement on the bottom end for movies and music.

First song I tested was Black Parade (Extended Version) by Beyonce and 50% sub volume was way too much for my tastes but damn was it loud clean bass; I dropped the sub volume to 40%. Next song, Are You Even Real? by James Blake, dropped the volume down to 30%. I settled on 20% by playing So What by Miles Davis since I knew how that was supposed to sound. Then it happened, the bass integrated with the bookshelf speakers and sounded non-directional.To make sure I did not sell myself short on bass I played the intro of the movie Edge of Tomorrow and yeah...the bass is definitely still there.

Having owned other subs in the $500 - $800 price range, the 10s manages to outperform other more expensive and physically bigger subs. Buy this one (or two) and do not look back, you are getting serious bass for relatively little $$$!

Thank you for building a fantastic product and offering it at an extremely fair price. I’m not sure what’s going on, and I consider myself a fairly experienced user, but your single Speedwoofer provides more satisfying and equally impactful bass as my JL F112 (sealed box-$4,000) in my room. The articulation and air moving capability are similar but the way your sub blends with my Revel Performa 3 speakers is superior. Absolute winner!

First off I'd like to thank Joe for getting back to me at the first of May during this pandemic and also answering other questions I had during the month, which led me to receive my pair of Speedwoofers.

I've had a pair of mismatched vintage M&K subwoofers that I've owned since new. One was from 1985 and the other was 2000 and were just not sounding as good as they once did, back when I had my Magnaplaners. Then the amp went on the newer one and it was time to start shopping online for some new ones.

I started checking on different forums and then learned about RSL and there Speedwoofer 10s, also found some very excellent reviews for this mighty mouse subwoofer 10in.

So I got on RSLs website to find out that black was on back order. During this pandemic I've been listening to a lot more music. I've got a integrated KT88 tube amp,Shiit Gumby dac and cd transport which puts out some wonderful sounding music to my Heresy III speakers, but with out my subs in the mix, it was just not the same. Sure there were other company's,but I liked what RSL had to offer. 30 day home trial, free shipping to and from and no tax. What more could you ask for !

Since having a tube amp there is no preout to hook up subs,so I needed one with high level inputs, plus it has rca in and outs ,also has a real phase knob not a switch. This checked all the boxs,so I pre ordered a pair on May 7th and now the wait.

Come June 15th they showed up at my door and started moving stuff out of the way to place the Speedwoofers behind the Heresy III. I've been wanting to hook these up in stereo, left output/left input and right output/right input to help augment the Heresy's, since they only go down to 58db.

Went to turn on and got the nasty hum. I use to work in a local audio store in the late 70s and went through everything I could think of from back then to eliminate it,so then I was down to only having the speakers hooked up to the amp,no pwr cord or interconnects and still the same problem. I gave up that evening and thought about it threw the night and remembered that it could be a grounding issue. Got up the next morning and took some left over 14 gauge speaker wire, crimped on some spade connectors and attached to one of the screws on the plate amp and then to gnd lug on HT amp, since tube amp has no gnd lug and walah, all is silent, also did the same for the other sub.

I went to set up gain at 12 o'clock, set crossover to 80hz and waited on phase till I got the others right. Went to put in a Dave Brubeck live cd which has a song with a stand up bass and wow to much bass, had to turn them down to about 10 o'clock. To set phase, I've been able to stand over sub and hear the difference as I turn the knob, till it comes in strong and clear.

Now I sat back and could not belive what I'd been missing in bass. These subwoofers are very musical, very nice sound with kick drums and stand up bass was great !

Nice thing about the plate amp,is that I was also able to hook up my HT receiver LFE out to Y cords to input and output to y cords to the input to the other subwoofer and just have to switch the crossover to LFE when watching movies, then when listening to music, switch it to internal crossver.

I highly recommend the RSL 10S, integrated well with both HT and tube amp.

Now it's time to dust off the movie U-571 and listen and feel the depth charges go off, also a DVD of John Fogerty, that has a great drummer Kenny Aronoff slam on the drums.

Again I'd like to thank Joe and his staff for all ther hard work during this pandemic and letting me enjoy my music and movies all over again.

I just received my Speedwoofer last week and placed it into my humble system. It is paired with a couple of well-burned-in first-generation CG-3s that have had to make due with a cheap sub I purchased a few years ago that finally gave up the ghost, so to speak. Until a week ago, I lived with all the much-harangued issues that tend to come with sub-standard subs and dealt with it by simply turning both the crossover frequency and volume way down to just fill in the very lowest end. That said, with the sub off I enjoyed the wonderful sound that emanated from the CG-3s on their own, I just used the sub for a bit of punch when watching movies, etc. Things have certainly changed! Preferring a simple stereo setup, I have my new Speedwoofer linked to a Yamaha A-S301 via a new Audioquest Greyhound sub cable using the Sub output port. Oh the Irony! I am now in a position--being an apartment dweller--where my humble system has the ability to literally destroy my neighbors cherished belongings! I literally have the volume of the Speedwoofer only 1/4 of the way up and feel every kick drum punch--bass in Jazz recordings is realistic in timbre, bloom, harmonics and decay. It has added so much to the mid-range presentation, as well. All this without the slightest indication of strain or distortion. All the boominess is gone. Bass is tight and quick. Fair warning, Godzilla's roar at half-volume will literally blow your head off! This is how you build a subwoofer! By the way, I somewhat apprehensively ordered a white one (the rest of my system being black) and was very pleased with how aesthetically appealing the look is with the white fabric grill. It certainly has the spouse approval factor covered. Thanks, Joe, and thanks RSL!

5 stars!

I bought the Speedwoofer 10S to replace the high end unit I purchased with my home theater redo. Several reviews convinced me to get it a try, despite the really inexpensive price. Now I call it the greatest value in my system. This sub was immediately better and blended strongly and well with my (otherwise) really good system. When the amplifier in the sub went down, RSL was direct, courteous and generous as I was just a bit out of warranty. They sent the replacement amp for free, the install was easy and the unit is really welcome to work (espcially during this shelter in place). Thanks, RSL, love the unit and your service was outstanding.

I've had a Hsu sub for years. It's been one of the best subs I've ever owned. I won't knock it at all here. But, in saying that,it was not going to be enough for my new home theater. I started looking online for a replacement. I kept seeing adds for RSL speakers. So I investigated, and researched for many days. Long story short, I reluctantly bought 2 speedwoofer's. My first concern was price, basically I could get 2 of these for thee cost of one other sub. Second was, would it fill my room? After sitting on these for about a week we finished our new room. I got everything hooked up and started the fun. At first I thought I really missed my Hsu... But after 2 days and some placement rearranging I was dead wrong. These things are magical. I was in awe of the bass and tones these produce. Music is lightening fast and clean. Movies are loud and realistic. I'm almost wonder if 2 was overkill? I'm so glad I found RSL. There subs are phenomenal, no hype, just as described. I keep thinking I need to turn them down. My house has never had this much shake before. This us an excellent product. True to claims and much better than expected. Thanks RSL.

I purchased my Speedwoofer 10S in October 2019, from RSL's outlet. Although "B" stock, I could see no imperfections. Shipping was both free & fast. I ordered it on a Thursday, it shipped the same day & I received it on Monday (on the opposite coast).

Used cable to LFE input; Phase at 0; internal crossover to bypass. It was clearly too loud with volume at 12 o’clock position. Turned down to 10 o’clock & ran Audyssey (Denon AVR X4300H w/ MultEq XT32), but it would not proceed until sub volume was at 9:00 o’clock position. When done, Audyssey results showed sub level set to -12, which I read is the limit of adjustment, which means I should run again with sub volume at 8:30. Despite the resulting low signal from the Denon, I have never had an issue with the Speedwoofer not waking up.

Based on where I had it placed (rear of 12'x15' room, behind couch), was concerned I would hear the subs location, but you would swear the base is coming from the front/mains & blends very well with them (Monitor Audio S8; 35Hz-25Khz).

Although running a 5.1 setup, I was mostly concerned with music quality & was not disappointed. The bass has a fast, clean punch (for both music & movies).

I had a few questions both before ordering & after running Audyssey, and received fast, complete responses (directly from Joe Rodgers).

Unfortunately, after about 5 months of use, the Speedwoofer's amp failed, but I received a response to my email (from Howard Rogers) the same day & a replacement amp was sent out that day, with free delivery. Again, great customer service!

The fact that I didn't do a review until after this happened indicates that I am still very happy with my decision to go with the Speedwoofer & do business with RSL. Will be looking at their speakers/Speedwoofer for another room.

Great subwoofer (particularly for the price) & great customer service.

I purchased this subwoofer back in January 2020 with the wireless transmitter just in case I move the subwoofer to a different location. I received the speaker pretty quick from the time I placed the order till the time it was in front my door was about 3 days great job RSL! The box was very well packaged and it was double boxed for extra protection. The fit and finish was excellent no scratches no dings. I used a subwoofer cable to connect to the LFE input. I ran Audyssey set the volume to half way but it was too much so I backed it down to about the 10 o'clock position and I was on my way to finishing uo my set-up. This subwoofer packs a punch when I'm watching movies. I watched "Saving Private Ryan" and the opening scene when they land on the beach all I can say is "WOW"! Everything in my room started shaking and Im not even half way on the volume. I want to thank RSL for producing a very fine subwoofer. The best part of this is that it didn't cost me an arm and a leg to get a great sounding sub!

I bought SVS SB-2000 because it was on sale ($650) with the thinking that it may be better than the Speedwoofer 10S for music. To my surprise, I need to put the volume about 25% more in the 500W SB-2000 to get the same effect as the Speedwoofer 10S for both music and movies. My son, who is a concertmaster for a youth orchestra, and I cannot tell the difference in sound quality for music. I return the SB-2000. The Speedwoofer uses less power (good for the environment), provides a good base quality equivalent to SB-2000 and costs less. Thank you RSL.

I've listen to very few sub that can play well with Magnepans. This blends seamless. This is some of the fastest, cleanest, most articulate bass I've heard. I've heard subs 5x this price that can't do music this well. It can also hit hard for HT work. I have never heard better value for money in a sub. I've never heard a sub this good that I would say is valued priced.

I’ve only had the Speedwoofer a week (it is not even broken in) and it is astounding.

For 20 years, I believed that I had a 5.1 home theater system. Immediately upon hooking the Speedwoofer, it was laughable that I had thought I had a subwoofer. The Speedwoofer projects and disperses bass making it a sound and a force in the room. And this is accomplished with no distortion

The Speedwoofer has created an altogether new and very special home theater environment. It will be very disappointing and nonsensical to ever again go to a movie theater.

RSL has surpassed itself again,

This is truly an outstanding subwoofer. It plays beautifully for both music and movies and has plenty of headroom. It strikes an incredible balance between finesse and ferocity, handling delicate classical music, thumping hip hop, and explosive movie tracks with ease. It also blends flawlessly with my CG3 and CG23 speakers. The wireless kit and auto on/off works surprisingly well and I have yet to experience a disconnect. I’m using this in a room size that many would say necessitates something larger than a 10” sub, but I welcome them to come listen to what this has to offer. I largely went with a 10” for the size and aesthetics, but after spending time with it, I truly believe RSL’s claim that this can hang with many 12” subs on the market. After researching many options on the market, I’m very happy I went with the Speedwoofer.

Firstly, I have been an amateur audiophile enthusiast for nearly 50 years now. I've gone through many brands through the years. With that in mind, here is my story.

I received the speedwoofer 10S about a month ago. I did not immediately hook it up because I was gifted a very nice subwoofer (at 2x the price) by by brother. I was lucky enough to have 2 rooms for viewing and listening. Last night, I set up the speedwoofer in my media room, and the other larger (cylinder shape sub) was already in my living room. So, to test the bass, I used the first minute of "Live, Die, Repeat". In the living room, We could feel the bass very strongly, as this section is below 20 hz. Then my son and I went to the media room, same movie, same level, using my Radio Shack sound meter. This time, we not only felt the bass, but there was a sudden "BOOM" sound that was not present with the other sub. We both jumped up, looked at each other, saying 'WHATTTT!". We did not hear that with other sub. The sound and impact was just there with the Speedwoofer. Yes, the other sub may have gone a tad bit deeper, but the speedwoofer was spades above it for both music and movies. Needless to say, I love the 10S!

The downside is that I have to save to get another Speedwoofer. Great job, RSL!

I'I've been an audio enthusiast for 50 years, and I've been around and owned all sorts of respected audio equipment over the years, including McIntosh, Bozak, Apogee. Adcom, Yamaha, Thiel, JBL, Marantz, Paradigm, and others. I've been around the audio block, if you get my drift. I, like most other audio hobbyists, have experienced the hype and flowery ad copy that abounds

these days promoting the latest and greatest equipment.

I started looking for a new subwoofer a few weeks ago, and I considered several options. My criteria was narrow. It needed to be musically accurate, it needed to be fairly compact, it needed to be capable below 30 hz, it needed to be reliable, and it needed to be easy on the bank book. The Speedwoofer 10 S ticked all of those boxes. I chose wisely...this subwoofer is everything that RSL said it would be, and then some. The bass is articulate, eveloping. punchy when it's supposed to be, and never bloated or boomy.

I cannot imagine a subwoofer performing than this one is at 4 or 5

times the price. It's impeccably built, smartly designed. and sublimely musical no matter what the program material is. Well done, RSL!

Let's see. I have been into stereo since 1966 and into home theater since 1992. It seems I purchased 5,891 sub-woofers to tame that bass beast for both music and movies. Never satisfied, until now.

Movies now have the impact without sounding bloated. Watching one of the remakes of Jurrasic Park bought out the excitement of the movie with those big guys sounding official. But the one thing that kicks my tush was music. Being a serious part-time musician for more than two-thirds of my adult life, I know what instruments sound like. Watching Simon Phillips via Youtube strut his stuff on his amazing drum set was unreal. The drums were authoritative and punchy. My SACD's and CD's were all musical without the overextension of the bass Thanks, RSL I am in bass heaven!!

It is a well known fact that Audiophiles have a good vocabulary. This characteristic exaggerates the performance of equipment being reviewed once too often. Occasionally a piece of audio equipment deserves bombastic words of praise and in my opinion the Speedwoofer10S is where it fits like a glove. Many products carry names that are not justified by performance. The Speedwoofer justifies it quite well. First, a Subwoofer is expected to start and stop quickly during transients which the Speedwoofer excels in. This characteristic makes it sound very tight, focused and never boomy. I purchased this subwoofer after owning products that cost in multiples, this $400 subwoofer replaced a $1100 high end unit. I put it to test from Classical, Blues, Jazz, Rock to EDM tracks that had some of the best transients and bass frequencies that can either make a subwoofer great or a complete failure. Speak to Me, the first track on Dark Side of the Moon is a good test where one does not hear anything for the first 7 to 10 seconds on most subwoofers but the Speedwoofer was able to reproduce the recording in the first 3 seconds, the bass is supposed to dip to the sub 10Hz levels as mentioned in many audiophile reviews. Next, it excelled in transients from classical music and movie soundtracks. I also tested it with Fourplay's Fourplay and Between the sheets CD where the bass was tight and focused. It was able to reproduce with clarity the drum lines on Where do you think you're going track of Dire Straights album. I tested it with Chesky records The Ultimate Demonstration Disk and was able to hear all that was claimed by Mr Chesky for accurate reproduction of bass resonance. It was equally at home showing off how good it was on Rihanna's EDM tracks. Now to say how it improved my overall speaker quality, I tested it with Riding with the King by Eric Clapton and was able to hear a clear and well defined Mid range that I had not heard before. The Speedwoofer is one great product that deserves all the praise. The best Bang for the Buck I should say. If there are any cons it has to do with my own issue of ground loop which was solved by eliminating dimmer switches in the audio room and some grounding with a simple piece of wire. But, it is a very sensitive piece of equipment that needs real fine tuning so be patient and take your time, in the end it will be worth it. It is so powerful that I have the volume knob at the lowest possible level (maybe with a pure Class A Tube amp it may be so). Lastly, the after sales service is out of this world. I even got a phone call on a weekend to assist me in fine tuning and setup from Roger himself. It has been a pleasure of a purchase and intend to use it for a long time to come. Thanks RSL.

Just purchased my 2nd Speedwoofer 10s and all I can say Is my smile just got bigger having 2 of these in my theater room. I actually had to turn them down some. Having 2 Speedwoofers is the way to go as there is no nulls/dead spots in the room anymore. The room is very well balanced now and shakes the sh** out of you when they hit hard. They do play low as I have the HSU VTF-2 MK5 upstairs in our large family room which I'm very happy with too. I used a test cd that came with the HSU sub which has 16hz tones in it and I could feel those with the 2 speedwoofer 10s I have. Very impressed and If you are thinking about getting a speedwoofer 10s dont think about it just do it.

Joe, Rodger and the team I just want too thank you for making such great equipment that us average Joe's (no pun intended Joe) can afford and enjoy. I saving up now to get some CG23's for the family room.

I received this subwoofer quickly... thanks for the fast shipping. It was very well packed and protected. There is no fancy box with pretty pics and colors... just a well constructed plain box... and it was double boxed, too!

The finish on this subwoofer is good. The textured surfaces don't show dust, etc. like the "smoother" finishes do. The grill cover is nice. The finished product is very good.

I bought one of their "Grade B" subs which shaved $30 off the price. I looked for cosmetic defects but found none.

The plain Jane box and the exterior finish show that RSL is putting the money into the design and therefore into audio quality, rather than into a fancy, shiny, pretty box (don't get me wrong here... I'm saying it looks just fine).

I have to agree that it puts out clean bass like a 12 inch subwoofer. The first evening I had it, I watched TRON: Legacy. Wow. Seems like the whole movie was filled with bass from low rumbles to loud thumps... and the sub handled it all wonderfully. The movie "Oblivion" is next on my list.

This sub could be sold for about $500...maybe more. But RSL's commitment to affordability, performance, and online direct sales enables them to offer these at $399. Their return policy is excellent.

If you are looking for a subwoofer, give this Speedwoofer 10S a try. I think you will be very satisfied.

Thanks, RSL ! ! !

The RSL speedwoofer 10s is an awesome subwoofer and i couldn’t be happier. I previously owned a episode evolution subwoofer until it dries about a month and a half ago. I decided to try out the speedwoofer because of the great reviews and the generous 30 day trial. I wasn’t disappointed. I had some problems with the Audyssey room correction so i reached out to RSL and Joe Rodgers the owner personally helped me through the process of correcting my system and making it sound great. Great company outstanding product.

I've got a modest mid-price set up with a Marantz receiver powering (5) B&W speakers. The two main L/F floor standing speakers with their dual 6" woofers were not cutting the mustard in my large basement. Since I don't have an extremely expensive set-up and budget is always a consideration, I new I had to get two subs. I narrowed the choice to HSU, SVS PB-1000 and the RSL Speedwoofer 10s. I pulled the trigger on the RSL units as all the reviews I read were great and the sub is less expensive than the aforementioned competitors. I've been completely satisfied with the subs. I did encounter a hiccup with each sub due to a known amp issue on earlier models but RSL's service was great and I was shipped replacement parts very quickly and the repair was easy as well. For the money, these subs are terrific. I might add two more in the future.

I considered a wide variety of subwoofers to mate with my Magneplaner 1.7i speakers. Many experts claim that these speakers are so fast and clean, that finding a sub designed to keep up is virtually impossible. Based on the overwhelming number of positive reviews, I decided to give the RSL Speedwoofer 10S a try. I connected the speaker, ran my Audyssey set-up, and was blown away by the sound. The Speedwoofer 10S blended perfectly with my Magneplanars to produce smooth, full audio with none of the booming associated with less precise subs. I honestly didn't expect the sound to be improved to such a degree. If you are on the fence, I suggest you try the RSL sub. It is amazingly musical and warm. If it can mate with my Magneplanars, I'd bet it would be a good fit with just about any speaker system made.

Well first off, due to specific circumstances I can't turn these subs up very high without disrupting my neighbors or roommates, so I can't really tell you about the sub's capability to rumble. What I can say, however, is that the sub has been almost impossibly tight from day 1. I have never heard bass this smooth before in my life, and as someone who listens to music a lot that is a very good thing to have in my book.

This subwoofer is fantastic. Tight, fast, low, clean and down right awesome. The S.V.S. sub is $100 more and 50 watts R.M.S. less power. The Home Theater Direct one is $30 cheaper but 200 watts less R.M.S. in power. Why you would spend $800 - $1,500 on another company's sub when you could get 2 of these makes no sense. The Speedwoofer sounds great with CDs and DVDs. Buy it,. You will not be disappointed.

Holy Jumpin Junipers Batman! I ordered this for my 2 channel system in my bedroom. Primarily for music and streaming when I don't want to fire up the big system. Man Wow. I've never heard a 10 inch sub at this size with this much clean output. It disappears and blends perfect with the main speakers. It's fast musical accurate and tight and quiet in movies very nuance till BOOM!!! You need it to HIT for movies and I mean it hits HARD!!!! Any name brand Polk or Klipsch or Bic 12 incher it Destroys you have to pay WAY more at high-end companies to beat it. I like it so much I'm planning on stretching my budget and ordering another one for 2.2 in my bedroom. Well..... just because.

Good morning, my Speed Woofer arrived. I plug it in, LFE Bypass, set volume to 12 o’clock and WOW!

You weren’t kidding tight, accurate and deep! I haven’t even rerun calibration on my Marantz SR-6012 Receiver and I am really, really impressed.

This is the bass I have been looking for, exceptional product, very few pieces of audio bring about emotion. I’m sitting listening to Roger Waters Is This The Life You Really Want and with the addition of the Speedwoofer to my system I assure you, emotion is a feeling and the result.

I have this album on HD FLAC 48KHz 24 bit and it is stunning with the Speedwoofer. Mind you I have a great music streamer DAC to complement, Cambridge Audio Azur 851N, but the sub made the difference tonight.

Thank you for enhancing my musical and theatre experience.

Well I've been looking for a nice sounding subwoofer for sometime now. Read lots of reviews and found came across the speedwoofer 10s was a little skeptical about what this subwoofer was able to do. All I can say is WOW. I'm am truly impressed by the depth this 10" speaker can play. The accuracy of the speedwoofer 10s is simply amazing. I replaced my other home theather subwoofer which is a polk micropro 3000 which is 1200 watts rms and 2400 peak which cant play as deep as the speedwoofer 10s. I'm sold on RSL'S speedwoofer 10s and will be getting a second on for my theater room. Highly recommend speedwoofer 10s and if your unsure about the speedwoofer 10s don't be it's a winner.

For about 2 years time I only had one speedwoofer10s. Before I bought my first one I researched high and low for a decent subwoofer that could get pretty low while maintaining transients for music. I looked at REL subs but was flabbergasted by the price tag for their "budget" models. A good portion probably due to the easily scratchable piano finish. I came across the speedwoofer10s through audioholics' review and was impressed. The review gave me proper expectations for performance. I knew after I plugged and played music through my first one that I wanted another! I got really good impact from one but knee from my readings that two will eliminate the localisation of the subwoofer. So last week I pulled the trigger after saving some money on a second sub from their outlet. RSL found me the best shipping price (I live all the way up in Alaska) way better than what Monitor Audio quoted me for similar weighted bookshelf speakers shipping from the same area. I had some amplifier issues with the first subwoofer. Since the first run of the series they've improved the amps and were able to ship.me another one to replace it with. During my move to Alaska that amp broke as well and they sent me another amp then as well! Only had to pay shipping. I love so much that when I am out of the house I wish I could be home listening to them. If you're looking at a $800+ sub for mostly music don't waste your money. Just get two of these bad boys. I do have to say they don't dig as deep for movie LFE tracks as those other bigger, pricier subs. They will definitely pressurise your room down into gut feeling depths though and pack a big punch. Can't say enough that hasn't already been said about customer service. These are down to earth, great folks and I highly recomend them to all my friends.

I bought the speedwoofer 10s because of the great value and relatively small footprint. I was blown away by the quality and volume of bass that this sub produces. I loved it so much that I just purchased a second one to even out the dead spots in my home theater and create more Headroom. By far one of the best values and Subs you can buy. Strongly recommended!

I purchased two RSL speed woofers and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. First, in regards to customer service, there was a bit of an issue with shipping when I ordered of largely my own making. RSL were very quick to respond once it was identified, and went well beyond what I expected to address the issue. They even took the time to ask me about my setup and discuss some of the different options. You can rest assured you'll be looked after in ordering direct online.

In terms of sound quality, like a lot of folks, I wondered if a sub this small was going to be able to produce great sounding deep bass, especially given the price point and features. Figured they had to cut corners somewhere, right? But with all the rave reviews from the professional reviewers and the big audiophile forums, I ordered two. Two months later with 50/50 split source material, I couldn't be happier with the sound stage, overall responsiveness, and build quality. No chuffing or distortion, just very punchy and tight room filling bass. I listened to a lot of subs that sell for over 2x the 10s price before purchasing, and they were not materially better and/or don't have the features of the 10s. The wireless receiver is an outstanding add. RSL have a set a new benchmark for up to medium sized listening environments. I would struggle to recommend anything else.

OH.MY.GOODNESS. I had very high expectations after reading the professional and consumer reviews and the long anticipation of the last many months while I waited to actually pull the trigger. I was going to get two, but dear lord what on earth would I do with 4x the output? I have a rather large listening room, 20x20 and 16ft cathedral ceilings. I'm running a simple stereo setup: Denon PMA-50 integrated bluetooth amp, powering my delicious Paradigm Reference Studio Monitor 20's. The set up is so good, all by itself I've hesitated to put a sub with it. I'm absolutely floored by the impact the RSLSpeedwoofer10s has. Its shocking for its size. The speed of its response feels instant, no hangover or mud even at incredible pressure levels. Keith Urban 'Ripcord' about collapsed my chest - felt like the kick drum thumper thing was actually hitting my chest. Tight, tight, tight beat after beat after beat. Sam Hunt 'Come Over' acoustic version produced a sound stage so large and multidimensional I felt pulled into the false reality that I was in fact at a live performance. Utterly startling, phenomenally great! A few Shakira beats and a Despacito at volume levels that are completely unreasonable and the RSL is unflappable. I may have to take a vacation day tomorrow to enjoy it because the few hours after work that I can play it loud are too few. Set up was pretty quick, when its in the 'right' spot it just melds with its surrounding. Internal crossover is perfect. I almost feel bad only having paid $399. Thank you RSL for letting me have it, you can't have it back :) so you can put your 30 day free return in the drawer...

We, meaning the wife and I, she love's subwoofers, were sooooooooooooooooooo glad we waited for the subs to watch Justice League I am so impressed with these little monsters. As a matter of fact, I must have said that to my wife like 10 times during the movie. I know I'm missing some of the subsonic frequencies, but, what these subs do, they do with an outstanding mixture of finesse and vengeance. I couldn't be more happy with this or any purchase. I hate this upcoming phrase because it always seems to let the air out of a review but sometimes it has to be said. ( for what you pay here ) you are getting 2 or 3 times that price performance. I've had Velodyne, Sunfire, Reaction Audio, B&W, SVS and many more I that can't even remember and the only one that was as accurate as my speedwoofers was the B&W ASW10, very musical but even it couldn't hit as hard as the speedwoofers. Now the SVS PB2PLus was a monster indeed and could shake your butt at 16Hz but I'll gladly give up that for the frigging power punch the speedwoofers have all the way to their lowest frequency, which in my room is about 22Hz. I can't wait to pair them with my soon to be here CG3's and CG23's. Were gonna break some sh** lol - Thank you Joe and than you RSL for taking the time to create such an overachieving product and for allowing the public to enjoy your creations without sending us all to the poor house. 10's across the board......

After about a month with this sub plugged into my system, I just wanted to say how thoroughly impressed I am with the overall performance of the Speedwoofer 10S. This sub replaced an older version of the Velodyne SPL-1000, which cost more than 2 times as much and was rated at 750watts RMS power. I was always happy with the Velodyne, but now, in comparison, the 10S can easily provide as much room-shaking bass for movie watching, but with less distortion. When it comes to music, for me, this is where the 10S really shines. I'm blown away by how fast and tight the bass is-it just makes my entire system sound so much better! I find myself listening to old CDs that I hadn't played in years.

Only negative, which has nothing to do with the 10S itself, is that for Canadians, after exchange, taxes etc, the cost is closer to $700,but even with that, no regrets on purchasing the Speedwoofer 10S.

I've replaced my two 12'' Klipsch subs with two RSL Speedwoofer 10S and I'm very impressed. These 10'' guys sound much better than my dual Klipsch. Klipsch were not bad for the money and delivered tight and precise bass, however Speedwoofer is a killer sub at $399. I can't recommend it enough. Even my wife noticed the difference and was impressed. Just buy two of them and stop searching for the best bass under $1k.

If you're reading this review then I'll do you a favor by starting off with the conclusion; this subwoofer is fantastic. I demo'ed a couple different subwoofers (including an extended in-home demo of a popular factory direct company) and dollar for dollar this sub was the best. I have a dedicated home theater that is 12x14x8, which is filled with powerful bass at about 1/3 volume on the sub. In comparison, the in-home demo was the sealed box version of a 12" woofer that was good, but not great considering the specs touted on their website. The RSL is, without a doubt, one of the best values I've come across in regards to home theater.

RATING

As you know, the only thing older than my system is me; but only by a few years. I was initially pleased with how the 10S rounded out the bottom end of my music - very fast and quite accurate. The surprise came when pushing the system (hard). The main speaker in the room is the pair of EV SP15's, their combined Alnico magnet weight of around 50 pounds, the Altec 511B with 802HD horn and the EV SP350 tweeter - all stuffed into a 36cf cabinet with an approx efficiency of well over 100db / 1 watt/ 1 meter. Also a pair of Klipsch KG 4.2's (about 95db /1 /1) to fill the balance of my 12'x16' room.

Cranking up to MPL (Medium Pain Level) with Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me" (Tropical House remix) immediately dispelled any thoughts of the 10S not keeping up with the efficiency of the rest of the speakers; for with the 10S volume set at the 11:00 position, I soon found my corpulent torso vibrating across the room in syncopation with the music - albeit in an finely articulated and well-defined manner. Did further experiments with Matchbox 20's "Damn," Enya's "Broadicea" and Buena Vista Social Club & Coldplay's "Clocks" and your 10S did all it was supposed to do without a stumble. Even when moving up to the AVL (Aural Vasectomy Level) the 10S maintained composure, though it's volume had to be turned up.

Thank you for delivering on all levels; the 10S's quality, accuracy and musicality are indeed music to the ears and an amazing value as well.

First, I am a seasoned audioholic. I looked at several brands, but the size and aesthetic of this sub spoke to me, and the customer service before even buying was excellent, so I was very comfortable. Numerous stellar reviews from the major AV mags/web sites sealed the deal.

I could go on and on about how much I love this subwoofer, it was love at first sight really. And then I plugged it in. The test tone from my Onkyo told me I was dealing with an entirely different breed. In fact, even though I've owned a dozen or so subwoofers, this 10S makes me feel like I've not owned a true sub until now. Suffice it to say, after listening to some great tracks with ample low end, this thing is seriously amazing. Tight, controlled, musical bass. Yes I'm starting off with a different brand of mains I've had for a while, but I was able to blend the sub right in with my system. After some tunes, I put on Dead Pool Blu Ray, running through an Onkyo RZ710. Even with the bass dialed back minus 2 db on the receiver, with sub set at about 11 o'clock, the 10S filled the room with authority-this thing is like a tank on air ride suspension. I will eventually get another and go dual sub, which at this price point is a great proposition over one 800.00 dollar sub. And the fact that wireless is inside, at 399.00---insane. I didn't know quite what I was missing until this baby arrived cloaked in cardboard and foam, but I would not wanna be without her. The Speedwoofer 10S has piqued my interest in seeing what RSL's speaker line is like, I will definitely be considering some stereo mains. I'd say the folks at RSL have done a stellar job with the Speedwoofer, I'm more excited than ever to listen to music and movies. Thank you RSL!

Was everything the reviews say. Can't go wrong with these, unless you have extreme tastes, and if you do you probably wouldn't mind spending MUCH more to find something better anyway. I had some reservations about it filing my large open ended theater area, and they do just fine. Bass is tight and precise and there is enough rumble not even turning it up past 50%. Getting two for $800 is probably the best bang for your buck i can think of and despite being a great value that isn't to say these are "cheap" in any way. Great product, and always a pleasure to do business with RSL, awesome customer service. Got these to my door (in Hawaii) in no time and communication was prompt, personable, and knowledgeable as usual.

Hello. I want to share my impression of the subwoofer. In music, the subwoofer gives accurate solid bass.Even on the fastest songs in the style of rock very good intelligibility bass. The subwoofer does not create distortion, headroom is very large. That is very important to me that in the movies it sounds great. The feeling that you have managed to combine the best qualities of the subwoofer with a closed box and bass reflex. Compared to my previous VELODYNE subwoofer it plays much better, much deeper. You created a versatile subwoofer that plays both in music and in film. System auto off works very well. I'm glad I listened to your advice and bought the subwoofer. I wish you success in your business, and hope that many will appreciate your products.

Bought this after a Velodyne VX-11 plate amp went bad on a sub only 3-1/2 years old. Anyway, sound to me is very similar to my Velodyne but it goes down about another 10 HZ. Takes up a bit more floor space too, but I'm very happy with the quality. Have tested out full orchestra and organ pieces with low bass notes as well as extremely low end frequency effects in THX and movie sound track demos and the output was excellent and clean at fairly loud levels.. enough to feel the bass through the seat of my pants through the couch and floor!

I have this sub matched with a Marantz SR5010 receiver, Dynaudio Emit M20 fronts, Emit M15c center, and Martin Logan Motion4 surrounds. This setup has PLENTY of power for that room. The sub is great for the 5.1 home theater, but it really shines when playing music. It blends so well with the rest of the system. Not boomy, not muddy, just sweet, solid bass. Received this 2 weeks ago, and using it on a Onkyo & Klipsch 7.1 system. Wow what a difference from the Klipsch subs (muddy, chuffing, ground loops hums on both the 10" and 12" Klipsch tried separately) .

I didnt want to keep blowing a lot of money on subs but I really need clear quality sound, so the AVS forum steered me here. They werent kidding when they said this thing packs a punch. There wasnt even one negative comment about this product, seemed universally liked. Customer service was praised too.

So I pulled the trigger and couldnt be happier. Wish I would have saved myself the headaches and got this first.

Pros:

+ Tight, concise, loud.

+ The bass is fast and doesnt overshadow the rest of the system.

+ No ground loop hum, I had hum with both Klipsch I tried.

+ Wifi adapter was simple to set up, I probably didnt need to read the directions for that.

+ Best bang per buck, you cant find quality like this without spending twice as much.

+ Customer service answered on 2 rings and they seemed to already have my info up, they simply asked my first

name and told me the order status and explained a few finer points of their subwoofer and wanted me to call

them if I had any questions at all. Good people!

Cons:

None, except I see they're temporarily out of stock now and I wanted to buy another.

I dont think I will be auditioning anymore subs, I have found the ONE. These things are AWESOME. I put in San Andreas and listened to the earthquake sequence and was blown away. Well I received my Speedwoofer yesterday. I set it up in a front right position next to my aj pioneer tower. I performed the denon 910w audessy set up and made some minor tweaks of my own. My wife then joined me to watch Captain America civil war. All I can say is WOW! Now mind you my previous sub was an htib sony pos. so im probably not the best person to trust for a glowing reccomendation. This subs bass was tight and explosive. The wife stated we wouldnt need to schedule any massage appointments, just go to the theater room and crank up an action movie! I took that as a positive reinforcement that this sub was a great investment. The pioneer AJ speakers now sound like a millon bucks as compared to before.

I've had my new Speedwoofer 10S for 2 weeks now and I LOVE it!

I have a very challenging medium sized room that opens up to one side into the kitchen. (The dreaded "L" shaped room). The back of the room opens up again into a hallway. I've learned a lot about acoustics recently and an L shaped room is about as bad as it gets. Additionally, there's only one spot I can put a single sub, both for sound and aesthetics.(wifey influence:))

Long story short- THIS SUB IS AWESOME!

It fills my jacked up room with Deep wonderfully accurate BASS. Seriously, do your research. The 10S competes with subs that cost twice as much. I would tell anyone considering another company's single $800 sub to just get two Speedwoofers.. You can't beat a multi sub setup and all of its advantages for ONLY $798 shipped!!

Trust me, as soon as I can convince the wife I'll be getting another one:).

I am by no means saying that one of these subs won't be enough though. It really is an amazing product at an amazing price. Check out the Audioholics review of this sub. If you're not familiar with the guys at Audioholics, get familiar:) If you care about sound:)

They test $2000 subs all day long and they are blown away by the 10S's performance at this price point.

Anyways, I could go on but put simply- I LOVE IT!

I have to add that RSL's customer service is really outstanding! When you call them there's this crazy thing that happens-- A HUMAN PICKS UP "and" they know what they're talking about!!!

I had some specific questions that were answered promptly by email as well. I got very friendly and helpful well thought out assistance - EVERY TIME:)

Mr. Rogers himself was the man I was corresponding with. Seriously awesome customer service. This will not be my last purchase from RSL. I plan on replacing my front LCR's with 3 of their monitors and getting that second sub to complete my 7."2" system the right way.👍🏼👍🏼

I have to say you can not beat the service we have received from RSL...sound advice, prompt shipping (2.5 days to Canada) and a fabulous product. After a long trial there is no doubt that the sound quality of the 10S has been far superior to our old Paradigm sub, especially when it comes to music.

As a legally blind audio enthusiast sound is very important to me. I have pretty good speakers (Polk LSI/M) for my home theater setup. However, I never really thought of a sub as anything more than a big noise box that goes into action for movie explosions so I didn't put much of a priority on that piece of the HT puzzle. After reading a review in Sound and Vision I decided to upgrade from a Polk PSW 505 to the Speedwofer 10s. I had been happy enough with the Polk for a couple of years as it was more than loud enough for my listening area (roughly 3,000 cubic feet). I was a little concerned at going down from a 12" to a 10" driver, but my fears quickly subsided.

The Speedwoofer 10s is surprisingly powerful. Using the audio setup on my Marantz receiver the 10s needed to be turned down a bit even with the volume knob of the sub set to the middle of it's range. So, plenty more power than my room needs. With the "is it enough" question answered I started playing through movie scenes and music that I am familiar with. The thing that struck me the most was how musical the sub sounds. I never thought of a sub in terms of music, but I didn't know what I was missing. Listening to the album Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu I heard subtle tones in the baselines that I didn't know existed. And hearing detail in the rumbles and shakes of movies was equally shocking. Who knew? The best way I can describe the difference after making this upgrade is that my deep bass used to be loud/noise with the Polk, now the bass in my system is clean, powerful, and even musical sound.

And the icing on the cake: My wife took one look at it and said that she was happy I made the switch because the 10s "looks" much nicer. This is something that obviously never occurred to me, but it's definitely an added bonus when HT equipment is met with wife approval. I couldn't be happier with this sub. Thanks RSL.

Hello RSL:

I have had the 10s sub for more than a month now. I previously was using a 1993 (!!!) Velodyne VA1012 B, but it developed a hum issue. I read the review in S & V, saw the incredible try-before-you-buy deal, and gave it a shot.

The bass notes I am just now discovering in much of my music has been eye (ear?)-opening to say the least. The Velodyne did well with slow, deep bass but missed an incredible amount of transients in "quicker" notes. I now sit in my listening room and just pick random tracks from my streaming collection, enjoying the discovery of all the new bass information. As a bonus, with the crossover control I can get a nearly seamless transition from my Goldenears 3D Array soundbar and Invisa in-walls to the 10s. The Velodyne was set at 75 hz, which taxed the soundbar's abilities. Now the soundbar is free to focus on the frequency range it excels at, which has revealed a whole new level of music information coming through the speakers.

All in all, the 10s has transformed my system in the most substantial manner I have ever heard. And the price??? Incredible!!! (The Velodyne set me back $699 in 1993)! WELL DONE!

Honestly this sub packs a punch! I was anxiously waiting for it and it finally arrived home last week Fri 8/26. When i connected this bad boy to my Onkyo receiver with another previous RSL sub i have, it blew me AWAY i felt the base running through the floor into my couch all the way to my chest!!! Woooo Hoooo!!! pure raw organic base with no muddiness. Im impressed with the sound, the quality, and the power this sub has. To finish my review i have to thank the guys in RSL for the phenomenal work, customer service and attention to detail they have.

My subwoofer 10S arrived on June 24 and got quickly put into service.WOW! It is impressive - it keeps up with my Magnapan MG12s nicely. I rattled my window A/C right off so down went the volume. I have lots of organ CD's which notably sound much better, but feel like real organs. As for movies, I think all subwoofer manufactures have a deal with moviemakers to show off explosions, and ominous low stuff, etc. to help sell the movies on DVDs - even Neflix. I just wish I had the space & $ to get surround sound, but your woofer puts me in the ballpark. Hope you do well and thanks much for your help on the phone.

Wanted to let you know some preliminary experience w/ my Speedwoofer 10S. Had chance yesterday evening to put on some music which I think took advantage of the Speedwoofer. Music overall sounded fuller, and richer, than I think it did before. I temper my comments with guidance that I'm not an audiophile or audio expert, but, thus far, the 10Ss is a welcome addition in my system. Looking forward to further listening, breaking in the speaker. And, eventually, adding the RSL in-wall and ceiling speakers to replace those which I inherited with my house.

First off let me say I highly recommend the speedwoofer 10s I have two and they are fast and accurate. A good match if you own magneplaner speakers, a tough feat for any sub. Read the professional reviews the only thing I'd add is I definitely don't feel I need any more low end or extension. The reason I'm writing this review is because of the amazing passion Howard has for his speakers and his company. I ordered my Sub's on Friday and July 4th was Monday so good chance I was going to have to wait for my new shiny toy. So then I get the following email from the owner of the company:

Hi Kevin,

Thank you again for your order. The warehouse was backed up today and told us it would be difficult to fill your order today. Since Monday is a holiday and they won't be working, I insisted that they ship at least one of the Speedwoofers and the wireless transmitter so you could get it as soon as possible. They did that and the tracking number is: Xxxxxxxxxxx

To track the order, please visit http://www.fedex.com/us/. A signature is required upon delivery for all orders over $500. The second Speedwoofer 10S will be shipped on Tuesday and we can get you the tracking number for that Tuesday night.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us. We're always happy to provide expert support.

Have a great weekend and 4th!

Best regards,

Howard

Ok now this is a man who knows how exciting it is to receive a new purchase and how hard it is to wait. This is a company run by a true passion for there speakers!

You WILL be treated exceptionally well.

I have received the sub-woofer last week, I have installed it on Saturday. So now the so call “braking time” is over. And my reaction is … WOW !!! This sub-woofer is quite amazing and have a very impressive sound quality considering the price. The capacity of the SW to reproduce all the nuances of the lower bass frequencies is really good.

So I am very happy with my purchase.

I want to congratulate you guys on a job well done. I ordered both your 10s and the svs sb1000. I already have the sb13 in my designated home theater but I wanted a cheaper sub for the living room. Since both you and svs offer the home trial (actuallt svs trial is slightly longer) I could just return the sub I liked the least. I have to say I love my sb13 and expected wind up with the sb1000 as well, but figured I'd give the 10s a shot.

Well somewhat to my surprise, I sent back the sb. Its a very good sub but doesn't seem to handle the lows quite as well. I was also pleasantly surprised at how much I could feel the bass from the 10s. It was more than I was expecting from something so inexpensive, about 100 dollars less than the sb.

You've got a good little sub here. Great service to boot.

She also is enjoying hearing things in her music that she had never heard before.) Thanks, Joe and RSL

Trust me. Mari

RSL team, I paired the RSL Speedwoofer 10s with some Q Acoustics (sorry, they fit the decor) 3020i and 3090ci speakers and am completely blown away with this subwoofer. I needed a relatively small woofer and wanted deep range and the Speedwoofer exceeds my expectations in all areas. It is transparent in music and a force to be reckoned with during movies. I love the precision and musicality of this sub. Well done!

Equipment: NAD 3020v2 Hybrid Amp, ELAC Uni-Fi UB5 (pair) Room Size: 15' x 12' Sub Settings: Onboard Crossover @100hz, Volume 20% Habits: 85% music, 15% movies Other sub owned: Hsu Research VTF-2 MK5, ELAC 3030, ELAC S10EQ, Polk PSW505 I knew I was in trouble when I plugged in a live LFE line into the sub (thought it was off) and scared the s**t out of me at 50% volume.

Well I'll start off saying I just love all kinds of music and enjoy taking time out of the rat race to enjoy listening. I looked at all sorts of subwoofers and willing to spend much more to be happy. Glad I didn't spend more. Two Speedwoofers are plenty and sound amazing!! They are fast and hit firm. I haven't even spent but 5 minutes adjusting to match to my Jamo towers. These blend so well and add the depth I've been wanting. Very happy customer!

As a reviewer, I have auditioned many subwoofers before. The RSL Speedwoofer is the best sub I have ever auditioned.I bought it on "word of mouth" and it has exceeded my expectations. It easily pressurizes my 14x17 foot listening room and I can only imaging the damage 2 Speedwoofers would do! Thanks for a great product!!!

And this is accomplished with no distortion The Speedwoofer has created an altogether new and very special home theater environment.

I, like most other audio hobbyists, have experienced the hype and flowery ad copy that abounds these days promoting the latest and greatest equipment. I cannot imagine a subwoofer performing than this one is at 4 or 5 times the price.

Holy s___t this subwoofer is a beast ! It's so powerful. I have a huge 30 x 20 family room and this thing is filling my entire room with accurate bass from the Tron movie. And by the way my last sub was a pb ultra 13 svs. This rsl produces much tighter bass. I knew it was high quality by the components

I ended up getting one sub and placed it behind on the back wall. What an incredible product. I can't imagine what two would be like because one shakes the room. It just blows me away how good it is. I've heard $3500 subs that I swear don't have the sound this does. What a product to be proud of!

Best sub I've ever owned. I have a decent sized room (20x20 with cathedral ceilings). I debated between this and the SVS SB-1000. Glad I went with the Speedwoofer! Fast shipping and great customer service.

Pros: + Tight, concise, loud. + Customer service answered on 2 rings and they seemed to already have my info up, they simply asked my first name and told me the order status and explained a few finer points of their subwoofer and wanted me to call them if I had any questions at all. Good people! Cons: None, except I see they're temporarily out of stock now and I wanted to buy another.

I recently added a second speed woofer 10 for a total of nine RSL speakers in my system. My goal was to create a wall of perfectly wonderful sound! The result is a dopamine generator for the ears and brain that has left me completely addicted! Thank you Howard and son for this problem!

I've had the Speedwoofer 10s for about 2 months and am very happy with it. The sound is fantastic with deep, clean, and responsive bass. I did initially have some setup issues with the sub and called the support number. Howard gave me several troubleshooting tips that ultimately resulted in a great sounding system. The sub is great, but even better is the tremendously responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful customer service provided by RSL. Thanks Howard! Perhaps Howard could talk to my wife about getting a sub for the other room...

I have been wanting some subwoofers for my home theater setup for a few years. I had it down to RSL, SVS, Hsu amd DIY. I read and read and read and finally thought I would go with the companies that offered free shipping. I just revieved my RSL Speedwoofer 10S today and got them set up. I dont think I will be auditioning anymore subs, I have found the ONE. These things are AWESOME. I put in San Andreas and listened to the earthquake sequence and was blown away. This was at a volume level of 1/3. They will only get better with the break in period. My wife told me everyone will have to buy earplugs now, what a compliment. I also want to say a big THANK YOU to Howard for his help when I called, so easy to talk to and very up front. If you are in the market for some awesome subs get the Speedwoofer you will not be disappointed. I forgot to say I have a BIG room and it is filled with base. I cannot wait for my daughters to hear this now.

Additionally, there's only one spot I can put a single sub, both for sound and aesthetics.(wifey influence:)) Long story short- THIS SUB IS AWESOME! If you're not familiar with the guys at Audioholics, get familiar:) If you care about sound:) They test $2000 subs all day long and they are blown away by the 10S's performance at this price point. I got very friendly and helpful well thought out assistance - EVERY TIME:) Mr. Rogers himself was the man I was corresponding with. Seriously awesome customer service. This will not be my last purchase from RSL. I plan on replacing my front LCR's with 3 of their monitors and getting that second sub to complete my 7."2" system the right way.👍🏼👍🏼 J. Wright

I have to say you can not beat the service we have received from RSL...sound advice, prompt shipping (2.5 days to Canada) and a fabulous product. After a long trial there is no doubt that the sound quality of the 10S has been far superior to our old Paradigm sub, especially when it comes to music.

RATING
Thanks RSL.

Hello RSL: I have had the 10s sub for more than a month now.
