Speedwoofer 10S MKII

First of all, I want to give massive kudos to the RSL Team for appreciating military service and offering a military discount. The shipping was quick and I received the subwoofer with some damage to the box, but only a small gouge on the left side of the speaker cabinet. The double shipping container was its saving grace and probably the only reason the box survive a trip through the APO military postage system. The speedwoofer is an excellent speaker and its size to sound output ratio is huge . In my main system I use a Rythmik Audio F12. The 10S MKII is being used in my office system and it’s impressive for how it adds body to my Focal 918s. The sound quality is eerily reminiscent of the F12 at a fraction of the cost. The online reviews and measurements are a testimony to the quality of this product. I’m happy to have acquired one, it suffices my office sound system needs in spades.

I replaced my KEF KUBE 10 MIE with the Speedwoofer 10S MKII, and am pleased with the range and punchy base it provides.

I am probably 80% movies and 20% music and am impressed with performance in both domains. Shipping time was excellent, the overall look and feel are great. Would happily buy again!

Looking for a subwoofer recently, I noticed a review in the 'Wirecutter' section of the New York Times, which rated the RSL 10S MKII #1/best of all subs tested. Reading other positive reviews, I decided to order (free shipping and US veteran discount, too). I could not have been more pleased with the purchase! It's musical and seamlessly blends with my satellites (Paradigm) that are solid to around 60HZ (I have a Paradigm 12" sub in a separate system; also excellent but more than triple the price) in a 2-channel system for analog and digital music sources. In this price range, one cannot go wrong with the 10S MKII. In fact, from my listening, it well exceeds expectations!

After a long search to replace my existing pair of subwoofers I purchased a pair of your 10 S MKII Speedwoofers. I was expecting good performance as provided by the online reviews, but what I have is excellent performance, Let me explain: I have two systems in the same room primarily for music.
First is using Magnepan MGIII A speakers rated as low as 37 HZ, and second using a pair of OHM Walsh 2000 speakers rated at 32 HZ on the low end. Now as you know bass response is highly dependent on room placement and since my main goal is a broad and deep stereo image my main speakers are placed near the 1/3 room boundaries of the front listening wall. And of course this is not the best location for Bass peaks.
I have been using a mismatched pair of subwoofers placed near the positions that add room enhanced bass. One of these is a Velodyne ULD 15 which was for me extremely expensive when i purchased it new many years ago. The other is a MM (Miller and Kressel) 12 inch unit. Both performed well but at different depths, making it hart to tune for spatial queues.
Both these subs were sealed box units producing fairly quick response.
Now the results of weeks of positioning, frequency high pass tuning, and gain adjustments have finally resulted in surprisingly deep bass, not just deep but very highly detailed bass. I can hear the room size of the original recording environment on recording that have been produced well by the mastering engineers.
For a long time I have been missing the impact of the very low recorded notes but no longer.
Impact and detail ate there.
One of the best benefits of the RSL upgrade is the ability of the 10 S MKII to match well with both the Magnepan and OHM speakers. The speed is there.
